Create a creative identity for Sarah Walton, Sarah is a embroidery illustrator he work is fun and full of energy so the identity has to reflect this as well as looking Proffesional.
The Idea.
The idea is to create a idenity that takes influence from sewing and patterns used within embroidery. I will create a whole identity for Sarah including logo right through to printed portfolio and website. Martyn Woolley BA(Hons.) Graphic Design OUGD303 Progress Crit.
The Mark. The logo has derived through a number of typefaces and looking at what’s friendly and fun but also looks professional and quite design savvy. Remember the people who will see this logo and sarah work are informed professionals and i think this will appeal to them.

Primary Typeface.
SARAH WALTON’S PRIMARY TYPEFACE IS VAL. VAL
The typeface was choose as it is quite design heavy yet still friendly and fun. Although Originally used for the mark design it can be incorporate for headers and other large format type.
Secondary Typeface.
Gotham Rounded
This typeface was choose to fit with the original mark type as the rounded version gives off a more friendly and fun vibe when compared to the original version. This can be used for body copy within publications, promotional material and online. The typeface also comes in a number of weights including light, book, medium and bold as well as italic.
Sarah Walton’s Secondary Typeface Is Gotham Rounded.
