Hi, Thanks for stopping by. My name is Marva Jackson Lord. I sing a little, write a little, and have been lucky to meet some amazing creative people through my life during my time as a community radio and club dj. I am now based in the UK, born in Jamaica and raised in Canada. My background is one that is steeped in the stories of the early Native and African peoples of the Americas.. the myths and legends, and the realities of the impact of the Transatlantic slave trade, combined with the stories of Shakespeare and Anansi against the backdrop of blue mountain Jamaican memories. Now I live and work in the Welsh black mountains where the soul of the Celt lingers still.
