Reflection
This semester being different from all the other semesters gave me the opportunity to learn more in depth, the nature of how the industry works in general. One of the most valuable lessons I learnt will be working with different department students and being able to communicate and work in an industry like projects. Additional to that I was able to understand more about my job scope in working in a Project like this. Multi Learning Disciplinary projects I feel like will be a very good opportunity for those students who are going for their internship in the upcoming semester. Miscommunication was one of the challenges we faced and having students from different semesters to manage the time for the meetings would be the second challenge, but we did work through that and achieved our goal by being able to get our project in the top 4 proposals. I feel that working with different department was not an issue with us but having students from different semesters was a challenge as I felt as the seniors gave less priority to the project than us. The Architecture and Quantity surveillance students regularly gave updates which were very important to keep our work to going on weekly. To improve the experience of the collaboration with other Schools I feel like the students need to understand more on the work scope of other department students. This was a bit of challenge when we worked with graphic design students as we had a hard time understanding what they were going to do with our 3ds. In overall the MLE experience if I were to describe in one word it would be “Great”, A Great Learning experience. It had its ups and downs but overall an applaudable effort brought by all the lecturers involved in this Project.
