This year has gone fast, I felt like I haven’t done much in PPP,however, when I looked back the blogs I have done this year, it has proved me wrong. I have done quite a lot of works but I didn’t realise them. I have changed my habit from doing a whole year blogs in a week to a daily blogging pattern, and this has given me a better time management to focus on other things. In different modules, I have explored and researched different artists for getting inspirations from them, this has encouraged me to try different tone of voice and trying different medias, in order to understand what I want to do, what tone of voice I like to have, and more important, is how the ideas communicate with the audiences. I understand more by researching more artists and illustrators. In this year, I have faced a lot of problems, from over-stressing to struggling to work with different people in the college, talking with some professionals outside of college, trying to sell my work in front of strangers. Some of these experiences were frightening and unpleasant, however I see them as a part of my journey, step by steps walking away and understand more about the world outside of college. The most memorable experience was collaborate with other students from different course. I could have avoided the unpleasant working experience, because I couldn’t be bothered to see other briefs and find if there were other people or groups that I might want to collaborate with. Although I had some bad experience in the first collaboration, I still think working with other course should be a great and fun thing to do. What have I learnt was choosing the right people and having personal opinions are crucial when there were a person who wants to taken over the group, of course agreeing and supporting are important for the group, but needs to make sure the final outcomes are realistic from the proposed plan . I still remember the happiness and the fear that I had in thought bubble in 2016, I had some hand drawn stickers giveaway which have my Instagram on trying to promote myself with different artists in thought bubble. I managed to give away all of my stickers but majority didn’t follow me on Instagram, I already known what would happened but in a positive side I managed to talk to them and asked some questions, so I guess I have gained some ideas and experiences to talk with them. Another remarkable event was comic fair on February, I nearly sold out all of my printed stickers, I have researched some fact about what the art market’s and audiences wanting from us. Stickers are trendy in these couple years. So I have printed some buttman’s stickers with my branding and packaging, as the result people seems to be like my ideas and some of the stickers sold out very quickly. Although I haven’t made any sales from other works such as screen prints and zines, I still think that was a great taste of selling my work outside college and experienced with talking and promoting my works in public. In this year I have tried different tone of voice so that I know what atmosphere and style would be like in the finals. At first I didn’t like screen prints I could say I hated screen print so much, but after keep failing and trying I understood how the screens work, I started to like screen print. The outcome for the first screen prints weren’t the best quality, but the process was fun and painful, I have learnt by the failure and now I remember

the steps without asking the member of staff. Time management is another main issue in all modules, for example: I didn’t manage to finish a short after effect animation on 505, because I spent too long on the final watercolour images. Instead of rushing the animation and have bad qualities result, I made a short looping gif and as the result it works perfectly fine. I remember the making gif technique from first year, and that helped me in second year. In next year I want to make the 505 project further, refine the publication and make the whole story. I just realised that I have been making publications since the second term in first year, and I would like to take it further. Next time I am going to try to combining medias together like screen printing, watercolour and digital. Evaluation Guidance This should be a reflective summary of your experience across the module. -

How did it go? Where did your journey start, where did it end? I knew very little at the start of this module. At the end of the module I feel that‌

-

What learning took place? What was useful to you? Be specific. New skills? New methods? New processes or approaches? Did you use the blog to reflect on your project development?

-

What went well and why? What did you enjoy? What were you happy with as an outcome? Be critical and analytical. Why did you enjoy it? Perhaps identify particular sessions? This could be ideas, solutions to problems, studentship or research. How well did you use the studio? Did you invest enough time in the development and testing of your outcomes?

-

What could you have done better? What were the problems you faced? What did you do to try to overcome them? This could be in reference to studentship, organization or blogging as much as studio practice.

-

How can you apply what you have learned here for future modules and projects? Application and future thinking. Things you would do differently next time? What useful methods, processes and ideas will you take forward into the next module?

You may also want to consider: Self-questioning: How did your thoughts and opinions change as you progressed through the module? Feedback: What other people (tutors and peers) thought of work and how you responded to that feedback? Research: Did you use contextual research to inform your ideas, ways of thinking or understanding of the challenges set. This may include further research of your subject matter, slides from the presentations or use of the library.
