UNIFORM LOOKBOOK
CODE OF APPEARANCE
The Code of Presentation is a “Door to Door” policy. Students are required to wear the appropriate College uniform correctly from the time of departure from home each morning through until arrival home at the end of the day. Outside of College hours, students should either remain in their full uniform or out of it completely The Principal reserves the right to exclude students who disregard these requirements
HATS
Hats are to be worn by all students at all times when outside Children without hats are expected to be undercover. Hats should be labelled with student names. It is encouraged to have the family name embroidered on one side of the hat The College Bucket hat can be worn in the Senior School while in Sports uniform
HAIR
Hair styles of both boys and girls should be neat and tidy in appearance and should not be of an extreme type that will draw unnecessary attention to themselves Students should not use dye or blonding compounds in their hair, except for natural highlights that are natural to the individual students own hair colour. Hair should be cut in such a way that it does not hang over the students face If doubt exists with a style of hair, a student or parent should check with the Pastoral Leader before having a style change.
Hairstyles must allow the correct wearing of the College hat
Long hair should be tied up if it is touching the collar or longer All hair accessories must be in College colours (maroon or navy)
Students are required to be clean shaven at all times, staff may request a student to shave at the College office if they are consistently unshaven.
CODE OF APPEARANCE
JEWELLERY
Medi bracelets and necklaces are permitted.
Students may wear a single pair of small studs (gold, silver or small gemstone) or small sleepers on the lower lobe. All earrings need to be 5mm or less in size. Jewellery of a religious significance may be allowed but is not to be seen above clothing. Ear cuffs, rings, bracelets or neck chains are not allowed. Students who are repeatedly requested to remove jewellery outside the code of appearance will have the items confiscated and parents will be asked to collect from the College office at the end of the term. Students with any additional piercings are required to use a clear stud that is not obviously visible or remove the piercing
Examples of earrings that can be worn:
A single piercing in each ear with small sleeper or stud (gold, silver or small gemstone)
Students may wear a wristwatch that is not a smart device Any other jewellery may be confiscated for a period of time and kept at the office
MAKEUP
Extensive makeup that draws attention to your appearance including fake nails, nail polish, eyelash extensions, and eyeshadow/mascara is not permitted Students who consistently wear makeup may be asked to remove this with makeup wipes at the College office
TATTOOS
Tattoos should not be visible whilst wearing the College uniform or representing the College.

Q What do I wear if I have before or afterschool activities?
A You can wear sports uniform to school and get changed before PC
Q Can boys wear shorts and long socks in winter on warm days?
A. Yes
Q. When do I wear my sports uniform?
A
You can also wear your sports uniform every Wednesday and Friday, unless you are asked to wear your formal uniform for a specific event on that day Students with a practical PE lesson on any other day are required to get changed on the direction of their PE teacher
Q. Can girls wear socks instead of tights in winter on warm days?
A Yes
Q. When does the blazer have to be worn?
A
To and from school every day in Term 2 and 3. Your blazer is also required at all special events throughout the year
Q. Who wears the blazer?
A. All students in Year 7-12. Year 7 students are not required to have these for school photos as it is so early in the year
Q. Do my formal shoes have to be leather dress shoes?
A Yes, they need to be a full leather upper and not be a casual sneaker This is for consistency of appearance and safety in practical subjects
Q. Do sports joggers have to be all black and leather?
A They are required to be a predominantly black sports shoe and do not need to be leather
SENIOR UNIFORM EXPECTATIONS
All boys are wearing ties, top buttons are done up and the tie is to the top If boys opt for short pants, then socks must be pulled up
Boy's shirts are to be tucked in
Formal hats are to be worn with the formal uniform The formal hat or bucket hat can be worn with sports uniform and for sports events Hats are to be always worn when a student is outside, before school, break times and transitioning between classes
The spray jacket should not be worn with the formal uniform
For Year 12 students, the senior jerseys are to be worn on Wednesday, Friday and Carnival days with the sports uniform only
Girls can wear either stockings and short socks during Terms 2 and 3
Jewellery that sits outside of our policy will be confiscated and will be kept in the office for parents to collect at the end of term
All students in the Senior School are able to wear sports uniform each Wednesday and Friday If a special event falls on either a Wednesday or Friday, uniform requirements will be communicated to all families for that day
On cold days - students are able to layer up underneath their uniform
Any additional layers that are not uniform items should not be seen.
CHANGING UNIFORMS AT SCHOOL
All students in the Senior School will be required to wear sports uniform for practical PE lessons
If a student has a practical PE lesson on either a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, they will get changed at the beginning of their lesson and change back into their formal uniform at the end of the lesson
The changerooms in Ignatius will be available for students to use for changing during lesson time
