ABOUT A BETTER SELF FOR A BETTER WORLD (BSBW) Middle school is a crucial time for young girls to build strong friendships, find inspiring mentors and recognize themselves as leaders in their local and global communities. On Saturday, June 10, Marymount High School will host its sixth annual AllGirls Leadership Conference open to rising 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade students. This conference is completely designed and executed by current Marymount students. The conference title “A Better Self for a Better World,” conveys exactly how Marymount students want to inspire middle school girls. Our goal is simple: to give young girls the tools necessary to better themselves as well as the world. The morning topics are designed to allow for reflection, discussion, and interactive small group activities. After lunch, the focus shifts to leadership in the local and global communities, giving girls the opportunity to participate in a service project that offers an immediate impact on the local community.
