ALAHMAD CONGREGATIONAL MOSQUE The design of Al-Ahmad Mosque is aiming to create a spiritual journey that takes worshipers to a serene atmosphere that wraps worshipers into a devotional experience by implementing the concept of heaven on earth. Over the highway in an area of 780sqm stands Al-Ahmad Mosque; the layout of the mosque was generated by a golden ratio due to its natural existence in nature. The design focused on creating a sustainable mosque that can be self-operated by using both passive and active techniques, as well as respecting the context of highways. The mosque is a proposal of a prototype as a competition entry to design a new prototype mosque for highways around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

ALDANA MOSQUE The design concept creates a spiritual journey that takes the worshipers from their chaotic daily life to a serene atmosphere that wraps the worshipers into an experience of attaching the earth to the sky. The directionality to the sky and minimal interior with earth tones offer spiritual illumination and inspiration for the worshipers.

WORLD TRADE CENTER MOSQUE The design of the mosque is inspired by the moment of revelation of Quran, the book that enlightened the paths of the followers and illuminated their souls. The design concept creates a spiritual journey that takes the worshipers from their chaotic daily life to a serene atmosphere that wraps the worshipers into an experience of attaching the earth to the sky. Inspired by Jabal Al Noor, the mountain that contains the cave where the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed PBUH, the mosque obtains the contrast between the monolithic and totemic presence and the spiritual illumination.

THE ENDEAVOR TO REVIVE SYRIAN’S SPIRIT Home is a word that encompasses the world. An idea of home was portrayed in a series of prototype housing modules created in a way that adapts flexibility in being able to stretch and shrink according to the number of users. The design promotes the vibes of intimacy, hope, and new beginnings. The housing units are targeting the people who came back to Syria after the war longing to return homes for over five years of instability. The proposal is designed to fit the various user groups: singles, families of different sizes, orphans, and senior citizens. The various units interlock to form a traditional Syrian courtyard organization, bringing the community closer together. While keeping in consideration the sustainable aspects benefited from this type of architecture. The units are precast and assembled off-site to reduce the construction duration and to allow faster dwelling.
