The company was founded in 1956 and has delivered high quality equipment to contractors since then. Build your crushing plant with modules The ambition of the new modular crushing and screening concept by Maskin Mekano is to combine the best of stationary crushing and screening plants with the versatility of a mobile plant. In production, these machine units on their high jacking legs resemble stationary plants while being very easy to move between different work sites. With the modules for crushing, screening and feeding designed by Maskin Mekano it is easy to create an optimised plant with high capacity that is also sustainable, safe and versatile.

All machines in the modular program are equipped with sturdy and extensive walkways with proper railings and gates and folding stairs with railings.

Feeder The volume of the hopper is 15 m³ and it is equipped with a heavy duty reject grid. The distance between the bars is as standard 180 mm, but that can be adjusted step less. The reject grid is tipped hydraulically via remote control and is tipped 90° for effective cleansing. The hopper is made of Hardox elements that can easily be swapped when needed. This is facilitated by lifting slings. The powerful vibrating table is as standard reinforced with Hardox. The movement is created with imbalance engines which are regulated via frequency controller by the radio transmitter. For special applications like lightweight material or small material flow the weighting of the imbalance motors can be adjusted. The VML 15 is also equipped with a hydraulic feeding chute door. The stockpiling conveyor of the VML 15 is driven by a rubberized motor pulley with a diameter of 420 mm. Besides securing a reliable feed this also enables the use of really sturdy conveyor belts in demanding applications. The conveyor is hydraulically folded for transport, and can also be raised and lowered to fit in your application.

Cone crusher The crushing plant is a conveyor in/conveyor out machine with a pre screen but also has an on-board closed circuit conveyor. The reliable and versatile crusher CH440 has high capacity relative to its size. The crushed material is loaded to the docked screen SH 1503 and the return is handled with an on-board swivel conveyor. Sandvik CH440 is suitable for a high-capacity secondary application or a high-reduction tertiary or pebble-crushing application, and it can be matched to changes in production through the selection of crushing chambers and an eccentric throw. This flexibility means that it’s suitable for a wide range of applications. The crusher adapts to variations in feed conditions automatically via the ASRi. By continuously measuring and compensating for crusher liner wear, the automation system allows you to fully utilize crusher liners and schedule liner replacements to coincide with planned maintenance stops. It also assists in keeping your crusher choke fed. This maximizes rock-on-rock crushing, which helps to optimise the quality of your final product. All service and inspection is carried out from above, which makes the work easier and the maintenance costs lower. Robust sealing to the inner crusher mechanics provides more effective protection against dust and other unwanted particles – reducing maintenance and increasing the life of the crusher.

VSI crusher The VSIH T7 is a modern application designed for the specific requirements of VSI crushing. The plant features the reliable and proven VSI crusher by Southafrican Techroq. Safety of operation, superior spare parts logistics and electrical drive provide outstanding productivity and low operating costs. Techroq VSI crushers are utilised for crushing the complete range of minerals, ores and rocks. Crushing can be controlled by adjusting rotor size and speed, screen mesh size, cascade ratio and cavity ring or feed gradation. The unique crushing action breaks corners off particles, providing cube shaped particles. The Techroq VSI are distinctive among all other vertical shaft impactors for their pure rock-on-rock principle. Techroq’s rock-on-rock crusher pumps dry stone at high velocity, launching an uninterrupted rock stream into a stone lined crushing chamber. The rock lined rotor accelerates the feeding rate into the machine, with materials discharged into the crushing chamber at high velocity - up to 85 meters (275 feet) per second. While replenishing the rock lining, the crushing and grinding cycle of rock-on-rock is maintained by this process. Serving as ideal third and fourth stage crushing machines, Techroq VSI crushers combine high velocity impact crushing with high pressure attrition, to produce high levels of cubical products.

Final screen The SH 1503 is a huge capacity screen but still handy to work with, it has large rubber wheels for towing within the quarry and a hook in the rear so that it can be easily placed under the feeder or crusher. Great emphasis has been placed on creating a safe and secure working environment, especially when changing meshes. There are catwalks on the sides and behind the screen box with access via a hydraulically folding stepladder equipped with handrail and self-closing gate. On the conveyor for fine fraction there is an unloading shelf for smooth and safe handling of meshes. In front of the screen box, the chutes can be folded away and a walkway folded down to facilitate the work of changing the screening media. The Maskin Mekano design team has worked hard to minimize the number of operator interventions on the plant. For example, all bearings on the conveyors are lubrication free. The screen bearings are central lubricated. The tensioning devices for the meshes are spring loaded to minimize the need of re-tightening. The prime example, however, is the Vibro Block technology that spares the machine’s vital components from vibration-related stress. The Maskin Mekano screens work with an aggressive stroke and are known for clean products with high capacity even on fine and short fractions.

Final screen The 1500 range consists of two deck screener SH 1502 and three deck screener SH 1503. At the heart of the plants is the new screen box range which measures 1.8 m x 5.2 m on two or three decks. The screen meshes for all decks are end tensioned and the sizes are identical. They are split in the middle for easy handling and for optimum tensioning ability, which is essential for fines material. A powerful stroke. Almost horizontal. The key features of the superior screening ability of the STE screen. The aggressive action cascades and thus separates the material layers effectively and forces the finer sizes through the screening media easily. This means high capacity. The low inclination secures that all material is exposed to the meshes sufficiently so that even near-size particles end up in the right pile. This means high accuracy and consistent screening results, providing high quality end products. The screens are fitted with Vibro Block, the effective Maskin Mekano anti-vibration concept. The screen box is mounted on a vibration damped frame which prevents the vibrations from the screen from transmitting to the chassis. This saves the entire plant from damages caused by vibration, whilst the aggressive screening motion remains where it belongs. Thus unequalled operation reliability is ensured without any sacrificing of screening performance.
