In 1993, Nancy joined the South Shore Soccer League, where she played a pivotal role as secretary and registrar, serving in the registrar position for 25 years. Her leadership extended beyond the league, as she took on additional roles with Mass Youth Soccer including Director of the District Select Program and Director of Recreational Tournaments.
In 2001, Nancy began her tenure on the Mass Youth Soccer Board of Directors, where she continues to serve the children of our state.
Nancy's influence extended to the regional level when she served as Chair of the US Youth Soccer Region One President’s Cup from 2011 to 2015.
Francis began his youth playing career in 1967, eventually playing for Boston University.
He played professionally in the United States, including stops with Cleveland Force, New England Revolution, Chicago Fire and Miami Fusion. While with the Fire, he won both MLS Cup and US Open Cup in 1998.
As a coach, his boys team won a US Youth Soccer National Championship in 2005 with FC Bolts. He eventually started his own club in 2007, FC Blazers.
Francis was inducted into New England Soccer Hall of Fame in 2005 and Boston University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
Francis is currently the women’s soccer head coach at Emmanuel College.
