MOODS OF NORWAY SKY

8:20 am With the alarm clock wakes up a peaceful morning. Days

start early in North, there are a few hours of sun and Northern people wants to enjoy the sun as much as possible. A cup of coffe in the hand and the smell of just made toasts. Fresh air touches the skin and a long trip to school by bus is waiting, trhough the window with asleep eyes and the company of the sweet early rising sky.

“Norway wakes up under the sun’s watchful eye”

11:15 am Late morning,

the early peace breaks down and Norway turns on at the same time as the sky. The clouds start to move on like Harstad citizens. It seems landscape and people have a lot in common, everybody is inside the buildings and observing the magnificent landscape is the key to motivates them to continue with their daily routines as if the sky would bee coordinated with the people and people and the people would insipire the sky.

“The sky talks to people

4:45 pm Days are short in the

North, it is just 5 pm and the sun starts to hide behind the clouds like like the people start going back home after work or school. It is only early afternoon but is already dark, Harstad citizens still have things to do at home, where they use to spend most of their free time.

8:09 pm Warm in and cold

outside, the lake’s frozen water and cloudy sky seems completely the same. It is the time when the sky decides to look itself at the mirror. It has been busy all day as people has been; it has also chaged many times along the day. The Northern sky is always changing and we never know what it will be like next; many colours and so opposed, blue and orange, yellow and grey, opposed as its moods during the day. These are the last minutes of light.

“These are the last minutes of light

22:34 pm There is no sunli-

ght, but something magichappens in the sky that cheers the freezing Norwegian night up. It happens because of the cold and this magic phenomenon is not seen every day, and people really appreciate it. Everybody wants to see it, but just a few fortunate people that live there or are lucky enough to be there can seethis wonderful phenomenon. People try to capture it with their cameras, but it’s not easy to take a good picture of northern lights, you need a good equipment and be very skillful. It is worth to leave the camera away and just enjoy this magic moment, for many people a unique one.

“The sky gives us some magic”
