he Fall is the time to shine! The Halifax Art Festival and the Festival of Trees each showcase our Guild members’ and friends’ support of these major funraisers. I need each of you to volunteer some time in order to maximize our woman and man power. This year is the largest HAF to date with over 300 artists and artisans participation. Each year the MOAS Guild’s devoted HAF committee and members present the Festival to the public at large - the largest event staged on Beach Street. HAF is the second longest continuous running art festival in Florida. And we are proud that this is our 54th year. The weekend of Nov. 5th and 6th brings us all together for lots of fun, food, and plenty of exceptional art and crafts for purchase.
Next up is the Festival of Trees and Gala. From Nov. 12th to Dec. 3rd stop in the museum to view the many decorated and themed trees up for silent auction. There are small wreaths and holiday decorations available for purchase. Then on the evening of Dec.1st we celebrate at the Holiday Gala from 6-9pm at MOAS. The Gala offers food from over 20 area restaurants along with complimentary champagne. Stroll through the museum and enjoy several musical venues. Our success is directly related to our members’ and friends’ continual support. Mark your calendars for these two events and I will see you there. Thank you! Kathy Wilson, MOAS Guild President
