Clint Shore completed his apprenticeship as a carpenter and joiner before starting his own carpentry business. The business grew quickly and established itself as the preferred contractor with a number of Perth’s leading renovation builders. As on site supervisor for all jobs we undertake, this hands on role by a Company Director sits really well with all our clients and is a massive point of difference to many other renovation companies. Dave is highly regarded and recognised throughout the Building Industry for his eye for quality and detail which is why he was selected in 2018 to be a judge for the Prestigious Master Builders Association Housing Awards.Dave started in the industry as an Apprentice Carpenter in 1987 following in his Grandfathers footsteps. After receiving his Trade qualification Dave ran his own Carpentry business until 1996 where he had up to 5 carpenters working on a range of projects across Perth in all aspects of carpentry. Robert Shaw is a Founding Director of Daly & Shaw Building Pty Ltd, (along with Mick Daly), Western Ladders Pty Ltd, Western Timbers Pty Ltd, Heritage Pioneer Developments, Evolution Custom Builds+Extensions+Renovations. Robert has worked for himself since finishing a carpentry trade certificate in NSW when he was 21, since then has built five extremely successful Business showing outstanding Entrepreneur skills. In 2003 Robert joined Master Builders WA Housing Council and in 2004 he became Chair of the Housing Council for seven years. Robert then became State President in 2011 of Master Builders WA serving a three year term. At the same time severed a four year term as President of Netball WA loving the challenge of time management while adding value using skills from the privet sector for the benefit of not for profit organizations.

CHARLIE BAGGETTA

Charlie Baggetta started in the building industry in 1962 undertaking a five-year apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. After gaining experience in both commercial and residential sectors, he commenced studying for his building registration certificate. He started his own building company, Baggetta Builders in the South West in 1980, and is still active in the company operations. Charlie is now a life member of the Master Builders Association.
AARON REKMAN

Aaron Rekman is the company director for Azztek Kitchens and Azztek Homes. He began Azztek Kitchens in Mandurah in 1998, quickly becoming a leader in his community, supporting local charities, sporting clubs and business networks. Building on the business success with Azztek Kitchens, Aaron undertook the challenging pathway to builders’ registration, launching Azztek Homes into the home renovation market over a decade ago. Aaron divides his time between driving business success, supporting local community events and raising his young family. Anthony Lumbaca is the director and co-founder of Buildcor Projects Pty Ltd, which specialises in boutique residential and commercial projects. Anthony is a registered building practitioner and has run his business for 13 years. Being part of the MBA WA judging process is a rewarding experience. As a passionate member of the building community, this experience allows Anthony to give back to the industry, as well as provide recognition to some welldeserved organisations and individuals.

Anton Smith has over 30 years’ experience working in the building industry. Starting out as a labourer, then a carpenter and then supervising for several different building companies to gain invaluable experience. Since starting Bluewater Building Co in 2007 Anton has developed a reputation for delivering high quality projects both on budget and on time. His reputation for understanding the needs, desires and concerns of his clients is reflected in the relationships he has built that have lasted long after client’s homes are completed.

Chris Brown is the Operations Manager at a well respected building company, where he shares his passion for building with the team. Chris has 25 years’ experience working in the construction industry, he has been a registered builder for 12 years and has being a judge for the MBA Housing awards for the past 9 years. Chris thoroughly enjoys his time judging for the MBA each year, he believes it’s his way of giving back to the industry.

Daniel Young is a registered builder and the owner of Young Building Co. A carpenter by trade, Daniel has been in the building industry for over 12 years and has developed a keen eye for detail. His experience ranges from working on award winning renovations to new builds in the Perth metro and rural areas. His passion has always been in residential construction, in particular, renovating character homes.
Garth Unger is the construction manager for an award winning and reputable builder, predominantly working on bespoke two storey homes. Garth has been a registered builder since 1993 and has been actively involved in the local residential housing industry since 1986. He has held hands-on positions within the construction industry from supervisory to management roles and throughout all roles has taken with him a great passion for an unprecedented level of customer service and exceptional quality of works.

Ian Nichol is a professional executive, with experience in project development, general management and team leadership. Ian has over 25 years of experience across a variety of sectors. His experience is across a variety of Class 1 and Class 10 single, double and three storey builds: and Class 2 apartments. With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, and as a chartered building professional and registered project director, Ian’s focus in construction is on quality and safety.

With a degree in construction management, a qualified carpenter and a registered builder, Jason Tincey is the founding director of Xon construction a bespoke building company with a passion for custom details, high-performance building solutions and client integration. Jason is on the tools and in the office making sure he knows every little detail that go into all his builds.

Jay Mangano is a registered builder in her own right and founded Devrite Homes of Distinction in 2003. Jay’s focus is on delivering a quality product for her clients, she personally supervises every home she builds ensuring a quality product with an enjoyable build journey for the client. Jays commitment to excellence, unrelenting passion and dedication shines through in every home she builds. Devrite is the proud recipient of many local, state, and national awards, but most importantly Jay remains totally committed to her clients. Jensen Oliphant is the sole director for Eldridge Homes and is the third generation of his family to work in the building industry in Western Australia. He commenced his career in the building industry working on the weekends and school holidays with his father learning roof plumbing. He completed a pre- apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery followed by an apprenticeship with the MBA. Jensen became a registered builder 14 years ago forming Eldridge Homes, and has been a member of the Master Builders Association for the same duration. Jensen has a passion for his career, and is always learning and evolving. He loves building and takes great pride in providing his clients with the highest level of product and service. Achievements: Housing Excellence Award Finalist 2019, Master Builders Judge 2020 multiple categories, Master Builders Judge 2021 seventeen categories.

Kevin Sale has held senior positions in major Perth companies building volume housing and unit developments, both in the metropolitan and regional areas. Kevin’s involvement with Master Builders has been eight years on the Safety Council followed by time as the Chair of Housing and a member of both Council and Executive Committees. Kevin is a past President of the Master Builders Association.

Luke Collie has been working in the building industry for 15 years. Started as a scheduler working in the office and worked withing the estimating and scheduling team. Jason progressed to working on site as a site manager, and have been working with multiple companies, building multiple types of homes for the last 10 years, which has seen Jason build well over 400 homes throughout his career and obtaining his builders registration.

Completed high school in 1988 where Marco Palezza immediately went to work with his father laying bricks for Les Friday Homes. The last 17 years has seen Marco progressed as a supervisor in Summit Homes, a registered builder, and a senior supervisor for the new homes department. In 2021 Marco was appointed construction manager at Summit Homes. Mark Busio am the Founder and Managing Director of Insideout Building, and a registered building practitioner. I have over 35 years’ experience working within the construction industry.
Which includes extensive experience in the areas of Mechanical Services and Commercial Aluminium Windows and Doors.I have been privileged to be involved in award winning projects, both in the commercial and residential sectors.

Mark Diedricks is a carpenter by trade since 1998, and ran his own carpentry business until 2011 when he started Arklen.
