OSHA Recordkeeping -

300 Logs Plus How to Conduct a Thorough Incident Investigation Join CSSI’s Compliance and Inspection Director, Kim Hodne for an informational session covering the proper completion of the OSHA 300 logs, plus an in-depth process of conducting a thorough incident investigation. Kim has over 15 years of experience in injury reporting, analysis, injury logging, OSHA reporting, electronic reporting, and injury categorizing. He has spent over a decade as the Organization’s Safety Director as well a four-year career with Washington OSHA as a Compliance Officer.

Bring your computers, injury logs, injury reports and investigations.

ADDITIONAL TOPICS This session will review and practice the 10-step incident investigation. • 5 why root cause analysis • Alert risk assessment • SIF evaluation • Hierarchy of controls application in corrective action assignment. We will also discuss best practices during an OSHA investigation. WHO SHOULD ATThis hybrid session is specifically targeting those individuals who are responsible for maintaining their organization’s OSHA 300 Logs, Injury logs, and electronic submittal. This session will be an excellent refresher for those who have been responsible for this task in the past but may have questions on how to categorize injuries that occurred in 2023. For others, this is a great way to learn how to complete these tasks if you have been recently assigned. Or maybe the person has left the organization and now are responsible and do not have the first clue on how to complete it.

SAFETY - 2.5 credits The Master Builder Designation program will offer credits for completion of this course. For more information on how to receive the Master Builder Achievement Award, please visit

PRESENTER

KIM HODNE

Director of Compliance & Inspection Services Construction Safety Specialists, Inc. Kim has worked in heavy industry for more than thirty years, transitioning from the trades to full-time safety in 1997 as a yard safety specialist. His career continued to grow becoming a Washington State OSHA safety compliance officer and on to Safety Director for Alaska’s largest shipyard. The unique path from deck plates to the board room gives Kim a unique perspective and understanding of how safety is applied and practiced in the workplace. He knows that for a safety culture to exist and be successful requires “buy-in” from all levels of the company, a shared value in practice. His approach is not “Safety First”, but rather “Safety Always”. He also understands that employees must embrace safety; not because they are told to – but because they believe in it.
