Group 1 The Coastal Framework EMiLA Workshop
Introduction - Coastal Strategy
• The aim of the design proposal is to integrate the coast to the wider region, through nature, the creation of public programmes and creating a stratgey that will introduce land use to areas fragmemted from the wider context. • The concept identified the parameters to move forward. Dealing with the land patterns to allow greater integration of the coastline and creating a framework that will deal with the existing problems. • The area is rich in ecology, agriculture and historic culture so it is important to conisder the existing framework in order to initate the proposed. • The armature or framework will be established to improve the existing, establishing new natural habitats and points of interest to improve tourim and nature in the region.

Regional Overview Analyising the existing frameowkr before considering the proposed.
Design Strategy 1 Connecting the wider context becomes an important role in the development of the coast line. Connecting the towns, settlements and spaces integrates the coast line for tourism and public use.
Design Strategy 2 The coastal framework is established by building around the areas of high landscape value. Over time the coastal line will become wider, integrating the wider context and community. Once this line is established interventions and programmes can develop.
Design Strategy 3 Rules must be established to ensure the exhanged, maintained and grabbed land is not randomised, but built on a pattern of spreading the coastal landscape into the wider framework of Montgri.
Action Plan - The Development of the Coast Extending the coast for diversity and integration of tourism and nature. A framework will be created that will become the axis of future development. Using the methods of land exhange or swap/grab and preserve to diversify and connect the wider landscape.

Transect Model Land exchange and framework development
Transect Interventions The diagrams conveying a working framework and what it will consist of. The armature will focus around the intorduction of topography, habitat improvement and connectivity with a circulation system to integrate the wider region.
Prototype Development The development of programmes strenghtens the framework of the coast. The theme of education produces a programme of field stations that work to create finance through private research and education of the natural landscape for the local community. The proposal of interventions involves the placement of view points along paths to bring the borrowed landscape to the coastline.
