The terraced landscape in Pantelleria shows some technical solutions that give the island a strong image with clear outlines: lava stones are the main feature for the human refuge, for the borders of the crops, for the ancient roads. The aim of the workshop is to plan some rest areas along historical paths in relationship with archeological, geological, agricultural and visual and its signs, setting up an original placetelling.
Pantelleria is a volcanic island in the middle of Mediterranean See on the marine ridge that separates Europe and Africa. It has a morphology characterized by mountain and hilly reliefs and rare sub-flat areas.

- During the second day there will be a seminar with some experts in geology, in agriculture, in protection of the nature working at Pantelleria Island National Park.-During the workshop we will take some classes dedicated to the main topics of the course, hosting external professors too. - During the final presentation some external professors will be invited to give their opinion about students’ works. GENERAL COURSE PROJECT The design proposal developed during the workshop belong a wider research on walking / staying in the landscape and will be merged into a publication. They also will be available for the Pantelleria Island National Park to arrange an exhibition and to develop new
