COVID-19 Update
PLUMBERS ELIGIBLE FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION
Queensland Health has announced that plumbers who work in quarantine hotels are now invited to make an appointment under Phase 1b of the vaccination rollout plan. The government is currently calling for eligible Queenslanders in phase 1a, 1b, and people aged over 50, to receive the vaccination.
Queensland Health has launched an online registration portal for eligible individuals to make a booking to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
How to Book Your Vaccination
1. Register Your Interest
Visit vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au/registerforvaccination and enter your details. In the Cohort section, select Quarantine and Border
Workers.
Please note, there is no need to enter a registration code. Once the form is submitted, you will be sent an email confirming your registration.
2. Booking Your Appointment
You will be sent an email with instructions on how to book when clinic times and vaccines are available. Bookings are essential. On the day of vaccination, patients should bring: • Proof of age (e.g. driver’s licence, birth certificate, passport). • Proof of 1b eligibility due to the nature of their work (e.g. pay slip, letter from employer, information on the work being undertaken at a quarantine hotel). • Medicare card if in possession of one. If you are not eligible for Medicare, you can still receive a vaccine at a Commonwealth Vaccination Clinic or state, or territory government vaccination clinic.
Please allow around 45 minutes for your appointment as this allows time for your patient screening, the vaccination, and observation after the injection.
Please continue the recommended public health measures including physical distancing, hand washing, and staying home when you are sick to reduce your risk of getting COVID-19 and help control the spread in the community.
Information about the vaccine, what to expect on the day of your vaccination, and how Queensland Health is committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality can be found on their website at www.qld.gov.au/health.
