Boka Restaurant Group selected LG Construction to build its latest epicure triumph, GT Prime. After seven months of hard work, the two-story, 5,600 square foot restaurant seats 140 of Chicago’s hungriest carnivores. Architecture by Jonathon Splitt Architects Ltd., and designed by Karen Herold of Studio K, GT Prime evokes the feeling of a beautifully rustic modern day fairy tale. Raw wood, cabernet-stained concrete floors, brass tones and naturalesque touches like faux fur chairs and taxidermy-covered walls, mix perfectly with the large crystal chandelier to give GT Prime a moody and intimate experience unlike anything else Chicago’s steakhouse scene has to offer.
Once known as LG Homes, LG Construction + Development was founded by Brian Goldberg and Marc Lifshin as a real estate development company focused on producing luxury residential and commercial properties.
Our love for developing beautiful properties eventually branched into three businesses: LG Development Group in 2005, LG Construction Group in 2008, and our warranty program LG Advantage Group in 2015, which oers service, maintenance, and remodeling once the project is complete.
Over the past 13 years, our hard work and dedication to perfection has established us as a premier full-service general contracting and real estate development firm. While we focus on high-style design and craftsmanship, we know the process of completing a project well, while paying attention to the clients’ input, is what the market needs and what we’re able to provide; our process during the project is just as important as the completed product.
There are also plenty of options besides straight-up meat. The menu is divided into sections including "cold," "hot," "vegetables" and "fish," with dishes ranging from grain salad to pasta to stued quail pot pie.
The design, by Karen Herold of Studio K Creative (also behind GT Fish, Girl & the Goat, The Betty and more), is absolutely stunning, with charcoal-colored wood, fur-tufted bar stools and playful taxidermy that makes you feel as if you've wandered into a fairytale cabin in the woods.
