Henry’s Tavern, Denver, CO Henry’s Tavern restaurant pays homage to the Blitz-‐ Weinhard Brewery, which brewed beer on site for more than 140 years. Henry's Tavern, which now offers over 100 beers on tap, occupies what was once the brewery's power house. The original brewhouse is now the dining room and bar area, the Weinhard Brewery smokestack, an iconic element preserved in the development of Henry's, is clearly visible from the courtyard and the lounge and kitchen areas now fill what was once the malt storage building. Today, Henry's combines its rich history with an avant garde approach to beer inspired food and a dedicaGon to local brews, making Henry's a true Portland OR-‐iginal.
Henry’s Tavern takes the “local watering hole” concept to a completely new level. Offering a robust and versaGle menu with specialty dishes ranging from fresh salads and arGsanal sandwiches to huge, all-‐natural, hand-‐pressed beef burgers and perfectly seared steaks. Henry’s takes special care to incorporate ingredients and inspiraGon from the region in which its located, easily pairing each entree with one or more of their 100 beers on tap.
Restaurants Unlimited hired BCRA to export the brand standards of the Portland and SeaRle Henry’s Taverns to the new locaGon in downtown Denver. The general materials, fixtures, and fixture paleRes could be adjusted, but the overall color story was to remain true to the Henry’s aUtude. This space also presented the opportunity to increase seaGng variety and connect to the sidewalk to maximize interior acGvity and communicaGon to the streetscapes. BCRA saw an opportunity for a new perspecGve on their brand expression, which could be translated in their Denver space. The interiors offered heavy Gmber, brick construcGon, and exposed blackened steel. The brand customizaGon was included in the custom branded elements that represented Denver and their sports heritage, which can be found on the walls, lighGng fixtures, and fabrics used throughout the space.

There is a stunning custom bar that offers 100 beers on tap. The lounge provides a comfortable, s e aG n g a re a w i t h c u sto m furniture for easy conversaGon. Private dining areas were also incorporated into the space for special events. ConstrucGon for this project started in March 2015. The grand opening of Henry’s Tavern Denver took place 6 months later, in September 2015. The client has posiGvely embraced the brand extension elements made by the BCRA design team, which will now become the standard for future locaGons.
