Project PROUD, Moving Materials Exhibition “Rematerialize the Future” now on display at Brussels Opening exhibition EESC, Brussels Exhibition for Ronse, Belgium Results Competitions
Project PROUD, Moving Materials PROUD is a European collaboration project funded by EU Interreg, that stands for People Researchers and Organisations Using Design for co-creation and innovation. By the cooperation between enterprises, government and academics, co creation processes and design thinking will support the development and design of solutions for society faced by regional issues from the partners in Europe; Paris, Essen, Lancaster, Helsinki and Eindhoven. Material Sense initiated within this European project ‘Moving Materials’ and we work on the development of an exhibition that showcases inspiring collected materials- and product examples. Moving Materials will travel to the different European partner locations to ‘move’ the idea of the use of current materials and new technologies. Important in the Proud project is the gathering and exchange of ideas between partners and end-users; the experience of co-creation and working together. Knowledge of materials will provide the input and inspiration needed for the various innovation projects that will be developed within Proud. Follow our exiting journey! Soon more will be published on the website. Images shown here are from the selected participants for the first exhibition: Solar Bag by Diffus, Stitching Concrete Stool by Florian Schmid and 3D printed product, €1,- per minute design.
Exhibition “Rematerialize the Future” now on display at Brussels “Rematerialize the future”, Material Sense’s exhibition with an overview of newly developed materials and products for fashion and interior, is presented at the heart of Brussels, Belgium. Invited by the ‘European Economic and Social Committee’ and ‘deBuren’, the exhibition can be visited until the 1st of June at the EESC Centre. Set goals for a more sustainable Europe provide the opportunities to (re)think the role of materials and the materialization of products. Our exhibition illustrates the future we are aiming for and inspires with the great examples created by the designers, suppliers and researchers. They have revalued well known and existing materials into new high quality materials, that are ‘rematerialized’ into better products. For more information for a visit, click here.
