i n t r o d u c i n g k lt f G r o t e x t This is KLTF Grotext Bold.
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz This is not one of the polished sanserifs. Grotext preserves a human touch. And history. While most contemporary typefaces assimilate uppercase and lowercase, Grotext emphasizes the difference between them. Its uppercase are wide and of classical proportions. Its lowercase are narrow and make it a space-saver. This is reminiscent of blackletter lowercase combined with uncial uppercase forms. With help of four stylistic set features, Grotext can change its appearance. Alternates of a g h m n u give it a more robust character. Alternate schoolbook a d g l allow text to look simplified and more technical. Under the hood, Grotext premières automatic spacing of uppercase letters in all caps context. It is one of the first Latin script OpenType fonts which make extensive use of contextual positioning. Available as CFF-OpenType fonts (.otf) which are natively supported by Mac OS X and Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000. An OpenType Installation Guide (about installing fonts, and about OpenType in general and kltf fonts in particular) and our License Agreement are included in every font package.

we i g h ts an d style s about weights Weights increase in small doses. This has some useful consequences: There is an optimal weight for any combination of printing technique, paper, colors and other factors. Weights next to each other may serve as optical sizes. Recommended ratio of related sizes is about 2:3. Do not forget to increase tracking with smaller sizes or decrease tracking with larger sizes (Grotext has been spaced for text sizes around 8–12 pt). To emphasize words in a text, the second next weight gives an ideal visual contrast. Effective combinations are UltraLight with Light, ExtraLight with SemiLight, Light with Regular, SemiLight with SemiBold, Regular with Bold. about numerals
