ABOUT ME
Hi, i’m Matteo Gori. I am an interior designer specialized in rendering. I attended the European Institute of Design in Rome where I got a degree in interior design with the evaluation of 110/110. Thanks to this university I developed a great sensitivity, I learned to work in a team and I am fond of the field of rendering so much that I decided to specialize in this field. I will attend a master in March at SOA Academy where I will get the certificate Vray Chaos Group. I am a guy who really wants to learn, humble and ready to hard work.

FREESTYLE Thai restaurant This Thai restaurant comes from the idea of wanting to create a place where the spectacular way of the Thai chefs while cook, be emphasized. From this comes the name of our restaurant: “Freestyle, food preparation is a show. The restaurant attracts mainly a young clientele since the costs are middle-low.We started with three key concepts: performance, enjoiment and kitchen's experience to arrive at the concept of the "theatre" from which we developed our project. The place is open all day long until at niht, changing the atmosphere according to the time slots by offering different foods and shows(the cooking and after-clubbing ones). We wanted to bring out the figure of the counter that becomes the stages where the chefs performance. The kitchen, thanks to a big glass window, turns backstage, like a theatre. .Particular appears to be the wall that, painted with fluorescent colors; during the day the colors are invisible but, during the night gives off a faint light, creating a warm atmosphere. On the ceiling is installed a barrisol light blue that creates a magical atmosphere and cozy.

PIZZERIA “SAPORI” Contest “5 stagioni” Sapori" comes from the idea of creating a pizzeria enabling the customer to taste the three types of Italian pizzas in one place. An itinerant Pizzeria to sponsor the Italian culture around the world, and how it has influenced the italian diet that, throughout the boot changes very clearly. We decided to create a temporary restaurant, mountable and portable that can be placed inside public facilities or large squares Italian and foreign. The whole pizzeria is raised from the ground thanks to a white platform high 30 centimetri of thick. We wanted to highlight the heterogeneity Italian dividing the structure into three areas. Each pavilion is a macro area Italian identified thanks to the use of different materials and the preparation of different pizzas: Napoletana, Romana, Genovese. We have given the platform a very important role: it is the Union of the three pavilions which represent the cultural diversity that we have in Italy. The platform is a "skin" that unites. The tables even though they are of different geometrical shapes are all the same color always giving this sense of unity mixed to heterogeneity. We wanted to give the project a technological twist inserting interactive totems that can replace the waiter but mostly they work like mean of information about the history of pizza. The customers, interacting with the totems or an application of restaurant downloadable from the internet, they can access the menu of the restaurant and choose what they want to eat. The ovens are designed to be wood ovens but when, for technical reasons, you can not use them, are used electric ovens. The pizzeria "Sapori" merges the use of technology with the use of modular structures, creating a local unique of its kind.

B E UNION
New Branch Office for MPS The inspiring image of the project “BE UNION”is a geometric figure, is the hexagon, because it represents order, harmony and replicability. Three qualities that I consider essential for a bank. “BE UNION” comes from the idea of creating a bank where the customer can feel at ease, living moments of greater interaction with the environment. I imagined a bank where it is becoming increasingly clear the technological aspect. Designed to accommodate an increasingly demanding clientele, I imagined a transparent Bank but also a Bank organized and hardworking. The idea of the hive, a place clean, organized and efficient, was joined to the Bank, making the latter a place so crowded, but at the same time laborious and ordered where the customer will certainly wants to return. Adaptability constitutes the Foundation and strength of "BE UNION". It is proposed as a pilot project because it comes from using a hexagonal grid that allows us to adapt the project to scale and different plants. From extrusion of these hexagons are born modules, each of which has a different function and can be customized and scaled to meet your needs. Just like in a puzzle we can move at will the various modules as needed and available to the plant. What is presented is a new type of Bank because I want to undo that sense of foreignness that usually you try when you cross the threshold of the Bank. In this perspective I reviewed the relationship between customer and operator to be more intimate and informal, conceiving a different modulation of offices: the creation of small living rooms ensures a more humane relationship between different “actors” of size taken into consideration. For the place is really more comfortable and reassuring,is designed a real relaxation area with its bar that allows the customer to relax and pass in the best way the time spent inside the Bank. “BE UNION” is a synergy between the concepts of efficiency, effectiveness and adaptability, but also of hospitality and sharing between staff and customers, able to focus on the human relationship through the informality and comfort afforded by this new dimension.
