Despite its familiarity, the human body will forever evoke curiosity. Developing a deeper understanding of its structure is crucial to the advancement of medicine. As we learn more about the inner-workings of our bodies, we are able to take a more proactive approach to disease prevention and wellness.

FrameWork is designed to be the ideal destination for medical students, researchers, and professionals to develop cutting edge approaches and practice their skills to ensure the highest quality care. The space is human centric at its core, and its mission is manifested in a variety of ways. The design draws inspiration from the many complex systems within the human body responsible for a person’s health. Similarly, medical technology requires interdisciplinary participation across a variety of fields in order to continually advance. Because of this, the pragmatic spatial plan offers a range of spaces which encourage collaboration and provide functionality to its inhabitants. This ultimately encourages and enables professionals to devote themselves to their work. Through innovations in approach, technology, and research, quality patient care is prioritized. Interior interventions modeled after structures within the human anatomy immerse users into a captivating and productive environment that inspires creations inherent to the Carilion Clinic. Ultimately, the design will encourage the wide demographic to work together towards one common goal - to create the strongest possible framework for the future of medicine.
