I’m Matthieu LANTERNAT, a french student designer. I have a real passion for the creative world and my design studies allow me to go forth. Currently, I’m finishing my erasmus exchange in Milan and I’m seeking for a 6 or 8 months internship, starting in February 2017. My portfolio reflect a part of my univers and my personality. PRODUCT DESIGN - INTERNSHIP AT ART & PRESTIGE - LIMOGES, FRANCE October2015 - March 2016 (5 months) product design assistant - Assist the design team and the artistic workshop to manage the different orders. Website updates, Plans creation in illustrator and photoshop, ideas propositions, trendforecasting for the next collections and products devellopement for the A&P design Lab. The idea on this concept was to create the Aston Martin Aerocar, inspired by the design of the Nimrod C3. This car is the new vision of the supercar, as seamless as possible, autonomous and totally connected with the pilot. This project is my personal vision of that can could be, in terms of exterior design.

The aim of this project was to conceptualize the Citroen Sm vision 2015. Starting with initial Citroen DNA I wanted propose a coupĂŠ 2+2, with an aggressive stance with natural lines inspired by the seamless body.

Italy - 2016
After a lecture with the Maserati marketing director, I decided to develop a brand new vehicle for 2020. To keep the Maserati’s intents, I worked on a small SUV, keeping the main values of the brand, «made in italy» and the sportivity. My inspiration are the 30’s style and the deconstructivist architecture.

This concept develop the 2040’s premium long travel. We decided to propose a new interior with a comfortable and modular system. My main mission in the team his to think about the seats part (with Y.Marez’s directions) and the creation of the communication video to explain «how the Audi modular system works?».

Random Product The «random products» part develops some different projects during workshops and internships. It’s very interesting to design product because I can push futher my creativity, with different forms always inspired by the automotive world.

This Workshop was a real new exhibition for me because create a boat on 3 days was a complicated and exciting exercice. To realise my new vision of the Hermes daycruiser, I tried to think about somes natural curves in addition with sharpness lines (into an origamic form).

Art & Prestige is a little french workshop, specialized in the porcelain manufacture. This brand is the premium part of the Thomas company, for wealthy clients (princes, luxury brands...) who want to have the must. So, my first project was to imagine a brand new knife for the specific clients. I tried to fix my first idea with the inspirational Mercedes body to find the good proportions and a real harmony.

During my internship at Art and Prestige, I have the chance to see different porcelain’s collections for some of the most importants fashion houses. It’s the reason why I chose to devellop a brand new fragrance bottle inspired by some details of the «haute couture». Just imagine the meeting of a evening dress with the clay.

Sneakers Freaker wink to my addiction. Indeed I am a huge fan of sneakers. When I need to make evolve my creativity, I love imagine the trends of tomorrow. For me shoes design is close to the automotive world... It is the reason why all my creations mix this two worlds

Here I proposed a sporty vision for the famous brand Givenchy. The intent is to create a new sneaker, start to rethink the sole line to propose a real sport stance. The patterns are a direct inspirations from chinese dress and the erable leaf. Leather is the main materials with some details with a marble aspect.

«It’s not about the shoes» ! As says M.Jordan. I’m a huge fan of Nike, and of course I have tried to think about the new sneakers generation, especially for the training time. Here, the starting point is the foot, and around we have the «socks» in a brand new technical materials with the piezoelectricity tech. The two soles allows a real absorption of all the medium.

Fashion Design My first experience in the design was in the fashion industry, thanks to the owner of a fresh french brand, Bold Boys. As Coco Chanel say : «fashion is everywhere» ( in my own words ), and that’s right ! In the continuity of my dreams I had the chance to participate to the creation of ready-to-wear collections. My exhibition in Milano was a real opportunity to open my mind on this incredible world.

Maxim Danna created Bold Boys in June 2011. During one year I had the chance to share with him the passion of fashion. I’m a beginner in this field and Maxim allowed me to make my first steps. In 2014, we have developed two collections together, RAM (inspired from the nature and animals) and the second one «Midnight Bath» who’s the best experience of my life, with the climax in the heart of the «Galeries Lafayette» in Paris (the first picture, top left). Below you can see some creations produced during the both collections.
