Scottsdale Ranks as the Top Hotspot in the Nation for Relocations People all across the country are moving. Some are moving into homes in their same neighborhood. Many move to different cities in their own home state, while others relocate to another state completely. Some move from a big city to a smaller town and vice versa of course. HireAHelper.com, an online resource for comparing and reserving moving services, released their comprehensive report on U.S. moving trends for 2019. With data from over 25,000 moves booked through the site last year, they have identified exactly how and where people are migrating. It comes as no surprise to us to learn that Scottsdale ranked as the No. 1 city for relocations with twice (108%) as many people moving in versus moving out. We can surely understand why! Some other interesting findings from the study include: • With Scottsdale at the top of the list, nearby Mesa ranked as No. 5 – bested only by Durham, NC, Sarasota, FL, and Jacksonville, FL. • As for the state of Arizona overall, 25% more people moved in than out, resulting in a state ranking of No. 4. Idaho was No. 1 (42%), followed by New Mexico (41%), and Maine (35%). • The large cities of New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles all lost more residents than they gained. • Smaller cities tended to have the bigger gains with more folks moving in than moving out.
SPOTLIGHT ON: Amanda
Named for a brave young lady that succumbed to cancer at age 12, this organization has been created to provide comfort and care to other pediatric patients. While undergoing chemotherapy, Amanda Hope envisioned and designed a shirt that allowed patients to remain covered while medical professionals are accessing the chemotherapy port, in an effort to give other children more dignity during treatments. Her dream became realized with the Comfycozys for Chemo apparel that is now provided free of charge to young patients. Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels has several initiatives in the care and support for children battling cancer and other blood-related disorders. They include: Major Distractions: They host fun events for patients such as craft days, spa days, sports camps, and teen nights. Comfycozy Gifts: Comfycozy Care Packs include the port-friendly apparel, a comfort pack while hospitalized, and a celebration bag for when they finish treatment. Comfort & Care: Free counseling, therapy, and supportive services are offered to patients and their families. Financial Assistance: Help for families facing large treatment bills.

Are you looking for a stunning and distinctive way to store your wine collection? We found a British company that has been designing and installing their eyecatching, underground cellars for over 30 years – Spiral Cellars, Ltd. The cellars are cylindrical, watertight systems that offer relatively inexpensive and reliable wine storage. They can be installed under any ground-room floor into an existing room or can be incorporated into a renovation or new build. The cellar is constructed of concrete, allowing it to absorb the cool underground temperature. However, they’re also fitted with a commercial-grade climate control system to ensure a perfect temperature and humidity environment for storing your wine.
With life at home as our new normal, many of us are finding that the “slowdown” that’s been forced upon us can be a wonderful blessing in disguise. Now is the time to indulge yourself in a hobby or interest you hadn’t found time for. We thought we’d offer some suggestions on ways to make the most of your time at home. We hope some of these will spark an interest for you: Start a virtual book club with weekly video meetings.
With a spiral staircase offering easy access and a glass trapdoor at the top, these cellars can hold up to 1,870 bottles.
Interested in adopting a new pet? Now is a great time for training and bonding.
These cellars can be a stunning feature in a home and there are many options available to fully customize it such as choices in LED lighting, luxurious stair treads, upgraded glass doors, premium concrete finishes, and more.
Purge! Look for things you can donate.
At nearly seven feet in diameter and up to 10 feet deep, they are sizable enough for storage and access, yet compact enough to fit in almost any sized space. The North American representative for the British product, Genuwine Cellars, has been creating custom wine cellars for nearly 25 years and can be found at GenuwineCellars.com. Whether you’re a bona fide wine connoisseur or just starting your collection, all of the options available today in wine storage make adding a dedicated cellar to your home an upgrade you’ll enjoy for years to come. We’ll toast to that!
