Armed with trash bags and a litter grabber, Lisa makes her way through the area, cleaning as she goes. “After many years of “tidying up” as I walk, I’ve come to have quite a reputation,” she laughs. FRIENDS OF PINNACLE PEAK PARK The F riends of Pinnacle Peak Park was founded to ensure that the Park’s ambience is preserved for its future users. Since moving to Scottsdale in 1997, Matt’s enthusiasm for its desert trails and preserve has led him to volunteer work for the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and the Friends of Pinnacle Peak Park. Beginning in 2004, Matt has aided the Friends of Pinnacle Peak in the creation of their newsletter, and has served on its board. “Because I thoroughly enjoy our desert preserve, I take great pleasure in helping others in the community have the opportunity to enjoy it too,” he says.
