With a great deal of passion, the leadership team of NuVista Living has recognized the postacute health care industry’s need for a transformation of care delivery. Combining their experience and knowledge, NuVista Living was founded through the collaborative vision of four of the most experienced and successful healthcare executives in the nation, focusing on longterm care facilities with an emphasis on design, development, and operations.
Elizabeth Marie Fago Elizabeth Marie Fago has been involved in longterm care since 1985, and has a proven track record in the development and management of healthcare properties. After witnessing a serious deficiency in treatment quality during her first years in the business, Ms. Fago went on to found one of the largest, most highlyregarded private healthcare companies in the United States: Home Quality Management (HQM). At its peak, HQM operated 72 longterm care facilities, many of which have been recognized on the floor of the U.S. Congress, and cited in the“Congressional Record for Quality of Care and Community Involvement.”
In 2001, Ms. Fago’s accomplishments earned her a spot on the “Florida Council of 100” – an advisory board to the Governor – as well as a presidential invitation to the “Women Business Leaders Forum,” held at the White House. Ms. Fago was one of the earliest and strongest supporters of Scripps Florida, and the Scripps Florida Library is to be named in her honor. As a true leader in today’s longterm care industry, Ms. Fago maintains the same passionate commitment to quality healthcare that made her who she is today.
William A. Meyer William A. Meyer owned and operated one of the largest independent hotel companies in the United States, and later chaired the CRSA Corporation, a top provider of management, development, and marketing services to retirement communities. From the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, to the London School of Economics, to Georgetown Law School, Mr. Meyer brings a long tradition of success to NuVista Living. In addition to his leadership roles in two of the nation’s most successful private companies, Mr. Meyer has earned an impressive list of civic accolades around Palm Beach County. He is the principal benefactor of the Meyer Amphitheatre, chairman of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, and acts as vicechairman of the Quantum Foundation
– a nonprofit institution dedicated to improving the lives of Florida’s retirees. Mr. Meyer developed and formerly owned Devonshire at PGA National, one of South Florida’s most acclaimed retirement communities.
Steven A. Tendrich
Steven A. Tendrich began his career in 1960, developing more than four thousand residential homes, shopping centers, office buildings, and Senior Living Communities.
Mr. Tendrich served as executive vice president of CRSA
Corporation, a Senior Living development and management company. As president of National Investment Company, he led a team that oversaw the development of Devonshire at PGA National – the acclaimed Continuing Care Community in Palm Beach Gardens. Currently, Mr. Tendrich serves as vice president of NuVista at Wellington Green, a prestigious senior resort community located in Wellington, Florida. Mr. Tendrich previously sat on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, and formerly sat on the board and development committee of the Miami Jewish Home for the Aging. He is widely regarded as one of South Florida’s top retirement industry developers.
Paul M. Walczak Paul M. Walczak served as chief executive officer for Home Quality Management from 1997 to 2007. Directly involving himself with all matters of acquisition, divestiture, and operational management, Walczak took annual revenue from $27 million to over $500 million in less than ten years. HQM’s property holdings increased from seven facilities in two states, to more than seventy facilities in six states by the end of Walczak’s tenure. As one of the most successful figures in today’s longterm care industry, Mr. Walczak understands the challenges and the importance of providing quality healthcare. He is committed to providing the most dignified healthcare experience possible to Florida’s retirees.
