Orthopedic Rehabilitation
At NuVista, our goal is to get you back to the life you love ready to resume an active, independent lifestyle following orthopedic injury or surgery. Our Orthopedic Program focuses on giving you the expert care and support you need to rebuild your strength and mobility to return home as quickly as possible, with most of our patients returning home within one to two weeks. We serve adolescents through elderly patients with diagnoses such as joint arthroplasty, knee replacement, hip resurfacing, lower extremity fracture, and multiple traumas.
Nuvista Orthopedic Program Description We provide a comprehensive range of services, with the aim of restoring maximum possible function and independence. NuVista’s Orthopedic Program philosophy is that comprehensive rehabilitation can best be achieved through an interdisciplinary team approach. Our interdisciplinary team consists of you and your family, a physician leading the team and monitoring team progress, and nursing and rehabilitation specialists to implement your treatment program. The team will assess your medical and rehabilitation needs and work with you to establish your individual goals. The entire team meets formally once a week to discuss your progress. Family members are encouraged to participate in these meetings and your treatment sessions as appropriate.
For treatment, you will receive intensive therapy five to six times per week in a safe and structured environment, with access to a physician and rehabilitation nursing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
NuVista Approach to Care We believe in providing comprehensive, patientfocused rehabilitation through an interdisciplinary approach based on communication, collaboration and cooperation. We work closely with you and your family to develop your individual goals and set objectives for your recovery. In close collaboration, our team of specialists create your individualized treatment plan to reach those goals and achieve optimal outcomes, removing or lessening restrictions to participate in life situations to the extent possible.
