Ceremony bouquets may be lush compositions of loose garden flowers including peonies, dahlias and protea. Standing chandeliers could flank the grand staircase with loose flowers trailing along the lamp stand. The floral theme could continue with an iron arch decorated in similar flowers behind the bride and groom.





cocktails + reception

After the ceremony, guests gather for cocktails under the mango tree. Garnish Events will coordinate with Robyn on the design of the bar. Cocktail rounds will be dressed in ivory linens and rich arrangements will appoint each table with mercury glass votive candles surrounding each centerpiece. Inside the mill, guests will dine under a canopy stars with floral chandeliers as focal points above the head table and each 8’ guest table. Dramatic draping will frame the head table. Guests dining at French farm tables dressed in layers of taupe and ivory linens. Table numbers could be fashioned to look like vintage house numbers. Draping would be hung to creating a distinct area for dancing under the glass. Low enterpieces of dahlias, peonies and lush protea will grace each table mixed with tall mercury glass candelabra.

client notes Tall off white pillar candles in mercury glass candle holders in two sizes. Combination of metals… bronze lanterns to complement the urns with the florals, possibly frames for table numbers, other ‘layers’ of table lighting in lower votives either mercury glass, cut bronze or amber glass.

With 160 guests, we may be limited to 36” table width. Therefore, draped in off-white with linen runners (refer to fabric swatches for these as well as pillows). Bronze urns for floral containers in varied sizes. Protea, zinnias, asters for pop of the reds. No roses. Yes to orchids, other local flowers. Moist, not dry look. Use of vines. Forest greens, lighter greens as in orchid sample. Old World feel but youthful look. Unconstructed…. ‘gathered up in the scoop of the hands from the forest’ feel. Melted candles to give the look of ‘this has been here a while… we’ve stumbled into this magical place’ Lots of candles!! Feeling of ‘lived in, a bit overgrown’ Vines overgrown on the chandeliers, vines around columns, vines flowing out from floral centerpieces.. Create a room definition when entering for ceremony with ?? door panels, gates, plant material? Hanging leis and lights over glass roof area. Rows of seating above in side balcony areas. Rows of 10-12 for seated guests starting on front edge of brick. 120 seated below and 15-20 on upper side levels. Incorporate antique Sandwich Islands map. Table assignments to one of the eight Hawaiian islands. Incorporate framed photos of ancestors wedding photos placed in alcoves. Have 4 of these on the left and 2 on the right. Sending you swatches of other pillow fabrics that will make up most of the other 40.
