- Natural City : Berlin Natural Science Museum -
The project relies on the link created by the project between various elements of the urban fringe that compose the landscape of the site. The arches of the railway are rehabilitated, offering now bars, cafĂŠs and shops. Their design and rythm are used as central components both for composition of public space (exterior gardens and the public place), and for the building itself thus defining a frame. The project settles on the urban context as a simple and monumental volume. It is a clear signal, visible from the train to the city itself as a new landmark. This temple for natural science contains a hughe and monumental showroom for the museum, but is an important research center too. The structure of the building allows to separate but to link these two parts together too; the spatial organization of the functions allows the visitor to have an overview from the exhibition, to the conservation area and research part. The challenge here was to make visible the museum with its internal working.

The aim here was to succeed in creating a nice articulation between the different functions offered by the building. The distribution of all the public functions (showroom, conference room, library, café) is organized around this «empty central core», a green patio. In the housing part of the project, there are different typologies but each apartment has its own terrace and can enjoy nice natural lighting and clear views on the neighborhood.

- Mosque in Molenbeek -
The challenge here is to create a dilation in a dense urban environment. The dilation means here «cutting into 2» the classic city block. By opening it, a public space can take place, distributing all the functions and services of the mosque (prayer room, library, café/tea-room, restaurant, hammam, gymnasium)and can be considered as public facility for the neighborhood. Here, the traditional plan of the mosque is cut in 2 parts and animate the public space. The public space can host varoius activities such as religious ones or not, and can be viewed as a place of interaction between different communities. Traditional plan in Maroco
Concept
- MONASTERIO - Santiago De Compostela
The project settles on the urban context as a discreet intervention, melting away with topography and and with landscape in Santiago de Compostela. The project exacerbates the cireculation by splitting the building’s program, working on the concept of journey, meditation, and contemplation. The monastery is treated as a collection of different architectural objects through which the monks travel during their day; as the contrary of a traditionnal monastery thats is built according to a regular grid . Here, topography creates areas, opportunities or constraints. These areas expand or contract themselves to creates buildings in the natural landscape of the site, and also allow a cerain game between views between different plants. This project is like a script from various part of the city.
