Project 1 Street Basketball Pavilion

CONSTRUCTION PURPOSE

Design sheltered event spaces on our city corners.

DESIGN CONCEPT

The main function of the whole building is positioned as a basketball court. It uses the youthful blood of street basketball and the rhythm of sports to ignite the street corner space in the city. It is also the most popular stage in the city while sheltering from the wind and rain.

DESIGN FEATURE

• Translucent glass creates a semi-blurred stage effect.

• Climbing frames are designed around to meet the exploration needs of young children and guide them to go out and explore the world.

• Design a seating device that can set up stalls to rest, providing rest while promoting Chinese carpet culture.

HISTORY OF STREET-BASKETBALL

In a neighborhood where blacks in New York, the United States, children are everywhere provoking unreasonable squandering and unreasonable enthusiasm. Someone built a simple basketball hoop and made basketball out of unknown materials in their backyard or open space in a slum as a hobby for recreation and venting when doing nothing. Since then, those overly active children have a place to go. They are aggressive, use basketball as a prop, and play simple but difficult basketball games.

MODERN ACTIVITY

Young people no longer have time for outdoor sportsV. They are busy with life and work, and their only free time is occupied by games. Occasionally, they want to go out to exercise and are affected by factors such as distance and weather. The social mode of staying at home is constantly updated and enriched to attract them, and at the same time, it is also making the city lose its vitality.

At the beginning of playing streetball, they also have the opportunity to enter college. This makes young people see hope in this era of political instability. They start to chase basketball and dreams.

Due to the embarrassment of life and dissatisfaction with the government, coupled with innate musical talent, a free and creative style called HIPHOP gradually formed, and quickly spread from the black ghettos to the United States. This period is also a period of prosperity and development of American streetball.

These street heroes have never been afraid of professional players. Everyone is equal on the street court. Their public personality and never-say-failure pursuit of dreams have gradually become the spirit of street basketball.

Street basketball does not rely on dribbling to win, but on the rhythm of the body to make opponents dizzy. This movement gradually became an art. They are free, unfettered, rich imagination and creativity inspiring them, a kind of unyielding perseverance is supporting the young streetball players.

Players imitated their idols, wearing HIPHOPstyle sportswear and star signature shoes, chasing basketball, and dreams. They are performers, and their fancy style of play drives waves of calls from the audience. Since then, the voice of the audience and the contestants have become the soul of streetball at the same time.

This is an installation design with simple construction requirements. The main choice is the oblivion corner of the city, which has become a simple traffic route due to busy life.

I hope to use such a device to bring spatial vitality, visual vitality, mobility vitality, assembly vitality and the spiritual vitality of street basketball to the city. In this way, the vitality of the city's Forgotten Corner will be stimulated and the city will develop actively.

The service site of the design mainly selected three forgotten corners of the city. There are many such places in the city, which are mainly scattered around various residential areas. The installation of stadiums as the main service is established in these places to attract young people and actively develop my country’s own streetball culture. At the same time, it also meets the needs of my country’s current situation. The needs of people of other ages let everyone add vitality to the city and change the non-social life mode.

Divide users into four age groups by age. They have their own daily routines. Children usually follow the elderly at home and their parents. When parents chat or dance square dancing, if there is a place to climb and watch the position of their parents, this will make the children very happy; youth mainly on holidays or after dinner, when you don’t have to go to work or school, you can invite your partners out to play basketball; the most middle-aged people use the venue to dance and chat in the evening; while the elderly do morning exercises here, or invite a few friends to play chess in the park after lunch and chat with them. According to their different life patterns, we investigated the time and frequency of their use of this device, and designed it according to the needs of mainstream people in different time periods.

Ball pavilions are mainly built on open spaces in parks, community squares, or commercial squares. Provide people with a place where they can shade but can feel the wind. They do their favorite things here, such as playing chess, chatting, playing slapstick, exercising, reading or dancing. But it is mainly young basketball enthusiasts who use the blood of basketball to infect others and bring vitality to street corners with their competitive spirit. CONSTRUCTION PURPOSE

After a collision between earth civilization and alien civilization, human beings realize their insignificance and vulnerability. Under the premise of preparing for war, the first purpose is to try to communicate with alien creatures and study space, and it is absolutely necessary to refuse war. Therefore, people all over the world have decided to establish a military training station in the universe to provide training for soldiers of various countries, and at the same time provide the best research space for scientists of various countries. DESIGN CONCEPT

Project 3 Wengdingu Village Reconstruction

MYSTERIOUS ANCIENT VILLAGE ERODED BY FIRE

Wengding Village is a traditional Chinese village located in the southwest of Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County, covering an area of 6.3 square kilometers.

The old village of Wengding Village has a history of nearly 400 years. The original 105 households and 491 Wa compatriots live here. It was once the most perfectly preserved Wa village in China so far and a living museum of Wa culture. It was once hailed as "the last primitive tribe in China" by China National Geographic.

Wengding Village is the original ecological village with the most complete preservation of the history, culture and traditional architecture of the Wa ethnic group in China. "Wengding" in the Wa language means a place surrounded by clouds and mist, and it also means the beauty of the mountains and Baiyun Lake. Wengding Dazhai sits on the north facing south, the whole stockade is shaped like a big chair, surrounded by continuous mountains. The village has a unified architectural style. It is an all-wood structure thatched house, which is divided into two types: dry-column type and floor-standing type, which preserves the complete house building system of the Wa people. Wengding Wengding Village is mainly composed of Wa people, with a registered population of 497 and a permanent resident population of 476. A total of 105 households are traditional residential buildings.

Inside the stockade is actually the traditional structure of men ploughing and women weaving, and women can often be seen weaving in the stockade. For hundreds of years, the villagers have been living a primitive life of slash-and-burn farming, ploughing with cattle, draught with backs, and lamps with oil. PLANNING AND LAYOUT

MONOLITHIC DESIGN ANALYSIS

In the whole design, in order to protect the historical relics, we keep its original structural form, and on the basis of the space for the living habits of local residents, we innovated the building materials and abandoned the wood and bamboo exterior walls. Added a lot of use of brick and concrete.

We have designed four different types of apartment structures to meet the choice of four different types of families (the elderly living alone, a family of two, a family of three, and a multi-person family). The apartment type of the elderly residence is designed in a circular shape to provide the best space for the elderly to chat.

The main new public design in the whole village is the learning space and the tea house. The main purpose is to rely on improving the teaching of local children so as to ensure that the local culture can continue to flow in the broad and profound Chinese culture. At the same time, tea houses and tourism are used to promote the development of the local economy. The historical and cultural views, Wawang Mansion, Salar House, etc. have been preserved as much as possible.

Campus Design

By adopting an open space, it is hoped that it will bring children a field for autonomous learning and exploration, rather than a "prison" occupied by exam-oriented education. The special structural exposed design combines both the local building type and the local climate, bringing a natural ventilation system to the children who are learning and playing.

A good natural ecological environment is the environmental foundation for the Wengding Wa people to believe in primitive religions.

The villagers respect nature and are in awe of the mountains, rivers and trees. The name Weng Ding in the Wa language means a place surrounded by clouds and mist, and it also means the beauty of the mountains and Baiyun Lake.

Here we can see the harmonious coexistence of tourists and local villagers, and the common development of man and nature. In such an environment, the super-fast development of urban culture and primitive tribal culture collide with each other to spark the future.

Project 4 Santa's Gift Workshop

CONSTRUCTION PURPOSE

Design a work-life workshop for Santa and the elves.

DESIGN CONCEPT

I hope to design a place that brings happiness to Santa Claus and the elves, so that they can produce happiness in happiness.

DESIGN FEATURE

• Gift flow lines and people flow lines form a 3D transportation network, which is convenient and smooth.

• The way of small modules divides life and work, and at the same time improves the concentration.

• The circulation of gifts in the pipes brings a Christmas atmosphere to the whole building, and also brings a sense of accomplishment to the producers.

This is the main entrance of the Christmas workshop, with a geometric awning that shelters the elves in front of the door and the returning Santa Claus. In front of the entrance, there is an opposite "connecting bridge", through which you can go to the very edge of the entire Christmas factory, so that the elves can come from the workshop to the outer base (deck) to play during the rest time.

It can be said that the entire Christmas workshop is built on this base. The base and the main drive are connected by a bracket fixing device. There is an air cushion outside the base to float the workshop on the water. When the workshop needs to be fixed, extend the bracket to let the ice thorns pierce the floating ice cubes. After the surrounding suction cups are sucked, the entire building can be fixed on the ice cubes.

It is like a converter, which uses seawater and its temperature difference to provide power and water for the entire building, which is the "source of life" of the entire building.

It is placed in seawater, converted with seawater in summer, and fixed in the Arctic Ocean after freezing in winter. Unless it is thawed artificially, it will be in the same place for a whole ice age.
