INTRODUCTION

The contained visual identity elements have been organized into these guidelines to maintain and strengthen the desired perception of the brand. The look-and-feel of CO+CONSTRUCT’s identity – including the signature, color palette, typography, imagery, graphic style, and overall brand essence – were streamlined, and the standard usage practices were documented to convey CO+CONSTRUCT’s culture, personality, and core brand values. Please use these guidelines when creating communication representing CO+CONSTRUCT in order to achieve a high level of consistency. Anyone who represents the company should work hard to ensure the integrity of the brand in all branded materials. The visual identity guidelines represent an opportunity to establish and extend equity for CO+CONSTRUCT. Communications created based on these guidelines will help ensure that partners and clients will perceive the company in the way as it leadership intends.

CO+CONSTRUCT eliminates the chaos of project management for custom home builders and remodelers by helping builders create rewarding experiences for their clients, trade partners, and of course, themselves. 1) CO+CONSTRUCT helps me coordinate my schedules, tasks, to-do items, and everything else with my team and trade partners. 2) CO+CONSTRUCT helps me to communicate with my clients when we’re going through proposals, picking selections, and approving change orders. 3) CO+CONSTRUCT helps me be in control of my financials from estimates to bids, from timesheets to QuickBooks integration, and more.

Other Usage

When referring to the software holistically use “CO+CONSTRUCT” (pronounced kō kuh n-struhkt) in all capital letters. When combining the brand with other usages outside of referring to the software, it is permissible to use “CO+” (pronounced kō pluhs). However, there should be no space between the “+” and the second word, and the second word should be in all capital letters. For example, when at a trade show in Baltimore, it would be permissible to use “CO+BALTIMORE” (pronounced kō pluhs bawl-tuh-mawr). *NOTE: The only instance when to not pronounce the “+” (pluhs) with a “CO+” usage is with CO+CAMP. That would be spoken in the same way as CO+CONSTRUCT as if there was no “+” at all.


LOGO

CO+CONSTRUCT’s signature is very valuable asset. Use the signature on all print and screen-based applications (incl. publications, marketing, and promotional materials, user interfaces, etc.) that are large enough to allow for the signature to appear at its minimum size. Use of the CO+CONSTRUCT signature by entities other than the company is prohibited without the express written permission of CO+CONSTRUCT.

Typography can work together with other design elements to make communications more readable, consistent, and visually appealing. CO+CONSTRUCT typefaces have been chosen with these purposes in mind and because of their adaptability to a range of materials. Proxima Nova is the approved primary sans serif typeface and should be used predominantly in headlines on all print and web applications. This typeface is available in many weights and styles that are essential to create distinction across all communications. Proxima Nova’s open, uniform, and modern design ensures great legibility. For internal documents Arial typeface may be used. For Display applications Bebas Neue typeface may be used to create powerful and dynamic visual messages.

Primary Colors

Using the CO+CONSTRUCT brand correctly and consistently is essential to maintaining brand equity. Colors play an important role in representing the CO+CONSTRUCT brand. Use CO+CONSTRUCT primary colors on all CO+CONSTRUCT communications. When used consistently over time, these colors will become directly associated with CO+CONSTRUCT.

All CO+CONSTRUCT communications should be composed using the primary colors. CO+CONSTRUCT green must be used as a background color in most cases. The predominant color combination should always be the CO+CONSTRUCT dark grey + ligh green. Consistent use of these colors will contribute to the harmonious look-and-feel of the CO+CONSTRUCT brand across all relevant media platforms and add to the brand equity.

Use “+” visual device to create dynamic on-brand communications wether it is a text-heavy document or as a separator between images or layout grid.

Using Photography

magery used consistently can support CO+CONSTRUCT’s identity. Following photography themes are based on key pillars of the company’s brand, and it reflects the company’s personality and style, as the company’s diverse customers and partners. Real photography (i.e. no clip art or stock images) should be used whenever possible to convey these themes. When real photographs are not available, stock photography that looks real is acceptable, but should only be used in meaningful ways. The photography should always full bleed and in grayscale color mode.
