Presentation

It is not enough to read the Bible, you have to feel what God wants to speak to you in your heart in every word, let yourself be truly involved in it. presence of the Holy Spirit, because when you allow yourself to be carried by the waves of the Holy Spirit, you will feel the heart of God.

5

And he brought me to the door, to the gate that looketh toward the east. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was as the voice of many waters, and the earth shone for his glory. And the aspect of the vision which I saw was like the vision which I had when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were as I had by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

6

And the glory of the LORD entered the house by the way of the gate, whose face is toward the east.

And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. Ezequiel 43x1.5

Jesus' mission was to go through all stages and reach victory. He became man by being God! If you became a servant being King

If you became a lamb being a lion And bought us for God at the price of Blood. And made us the kingdom and the priests to our God.

The Presence of God The Glory of God

___________________ Authors: Erica Silva & Max Salgado The depth of God

11

"The church has to rediscover two things: One the majesty and holiness of God and the other the wickedness of sin. " "Jesus prayed all night before choosing his disciples, if we prayed all night to choose our workers, I assure you that half of them would not be chosen." "The formula of revival is this: The workers must strike the altars and weep because they have no tears, moan because they have no move of the Spirit of God."

Chapter 01 Deep waters Once you told me: I was meditating on this passage, He said when someone goes to sea, treads in the waters along with the sand, And goes slowly into the sea, still, so are we who are in control The Lord wants to have total control over us to take us to submerge in the waters that leave the sea throne, The Kingdom requires only one thing Renunciation and surrender. 13

God only reveals his most secret and hidden mysteries to the children who are turned to Him in Love. The Kingdom of God is manifested through relationship and knowledge, understanding the supernatural purpose of God through our lives. The vision of the Kingdom is simple, it is love Love unconditionally. For from us must virtue emerge, to manifest heaven on earth. Heaven longs for us the manifestation of the Kingdom of the Father, Lives saved and freed. I want to bow down before the Cross I want to be washed by your blood I 14

want to reach your heart through worship. We can say with confidence, "You are my helper, I will not fear. What can men do to me? In this passage the word Rhema is Trust, for it expresses that our confidence must be in the Lord; the help we need comes and will always come through it. When we come to live in the dependence of the Father, our God Almighty Creator of all things.

The Lord expresses to us that He and to Him are and will always be all things.

15

He does not want us to place a false trust, but a full trust with closed eyes but knowing that He holds our hands and will not let our feet falter, to make sure that the help comes from Him, in the hours of affliction anguish and persecution, in the hours that we are confronted with our interior, with our character. He wants to hear our cry for help, to carry us on our lap if necessary, so that we will not deviate from the perfect plan He has appointed for us. Our soul screams and despair often beats and we want to escape. So it is really necessary to cry out to the Father Abba, so that He will help us and teach us to continue trusting in 16

the promise that was released on the Cross. He promised that he would be with us every day until the end, so that we may be sure that we fight a good fight and thus through faith and perseverance to reach The Eternal Life. He wants to hear your invitation and then enter the environment. An atmosphere of worship is the place He loves to enter and so stay. The presence of God remains where there are true worshipers. Psalms 68: 3 But let the righteous rejoice, and rejoice in the presence of God, and be filled with joy.

17

My beloved in Christ Jesus, what do we need today in worship? The presence of God

We meet every week, we have our devotions and we have our theological courses, our seminars, but we have missed the presence of God. Every day we go to temples, and we see many people coming and going from our churches but they are not impacted to the point of being saved, we have not only missed the word, but much more important than that, we have lacked the presence of the living God, the most we have are weak and cold theologies, but we have lacked the power of the Holy Spirit of God. 18

Our cults have been weak, they have been cold and without the fire of God, only the letter, and the word says that the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. The great lack of power in our services is that we have not been a church of prayer, a church that humbles itself to the Lord and asks for forgiveness for its omission in loving souls and loving is in the presence of God. We need a revival, and it must begin in me and in you, it must begin in the pulpit, in the body of the Workers, in the leadership. We need to know the Intimacy of God, to know who the Lord Jesus is

19

and stand by him, to ask for forgiveness and to be a living church. People have no sense of the presence of God in our meetings, and this does not even disturb us, there is a lot of men and little of God. And we have to start from the Inside side, it has to start with our lives, we need to recognize how wrong we are in our projects. Beloved in Christ, God wants to be enthroned in his Church, he wants to attend our meetings, but we must fix the altar of our lives, we need to clean our houses, the temple of the Spirit. Many people do not attend our services because there is nothing of 20

difference in my life and in their life, many people have not seen God in their church, but men and women of the flesh. Where are the people who cry out for the presence of God, where are the people who recognize their weakness and stand in the position so that God can overflow. God cries out of heaven, whom shall I send, who shall go for us? God has raised up men and women, has raised up a people to pray and cry out and put themselves in position to mark a fallen generation. This generation does not know God, did not see its miracles and its supernatural. 21

Chapter 02 God separates men for him The Word says that Jesus passed by and chose His disciples, He called and said, Follow me, and they all left their chores, their jobs and followed Jesus, because they followed Jesus? Why, when a man is called by God, he has no other choice, for God draws him to him, God knew the heart of those men and was not only a carpenter calling other men, it was the living God himself calling men to a calling, not a simple calling, but something that was generated in eternity. 22

God chose his family, he chose his disciples and he the Creator of all things generated in those men a thirst for his presence, he not only called them, he gave new life to all of them and as the word says, only lost the one who was destined to perish, namely, Judas. One day Jesus went by and called a man to follow him, and he went. Why did he go? He was because he was not a simple man, he was because God was there and all that God wants will be done, it was because his heart burned for something deeper, something that religion can not offer, something that a denomination does not has, something wonderful called the presence of God. 23

God has raised up men and women all over the world, has set up an army standing up for his work, has raised up young and old, men thirsting for the word, thirsting to cast themselves in God, anonymous men to carry their oracles, men who were born in prayer not in seminaries, women who were forged in solitude, not in worship.

A people that is in their rooms closed in prayer, in separate places and totally turned to the Lord. We need in the present day of brave men and women, Colleges today already have young people speaking the truth, in seminaries, in schools and in all the middle there are people who have been raised up by God.

24

There are many temples and they have not solved the thirst of the people of the presence of God, there are many workers but they are mostly carnal men, these days we need men and women full of the Holy Spirit. We have luxurious temples and little faith, many instruments and little praise, lots of money and little presence of God. There are a lot of men in our cults and little direction of the Spirit of God, this fact has been the decline of the religious world, we need to hit the edges and return to the soft presence of the Spirit , be directed by God and return to make the church a holy place. Holiness begins in us, in each of us, holy and

25

regenerated men, transformed, saved men. Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward;

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command these stones to become bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

26

5 Then the devil brought him to the holy city, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 And he said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down hence; for it is written, That he shall give his angels charge over thee, and they shall take thee into their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus saith unto him, It is written also, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again the devil carried him to a very high mountain; and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.

27

9 And he said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt worship me. 10 Jesus said to him, "Go, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'

11 Then the devil left him; and, behold, the angels came and ministered unto him. 12 When Jesus heard that John was in prison, he returned to Galilee; 13 And he left Nazareth, and dwelt in Capernaum, the city of the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali;

28

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 15 The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations; 16 The people who sat in darkness saw a great light; to those who were seated in the region and shadow of death, The light dawned.

29

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 18 And when Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers Simon, whose name was Peter, and Andrew his brother; and they cast their nets into the sea, for they were fishermen; 19 And he said unto them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And immediately they left their nets, and followed him. 21 And he went up thence, and saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, in a 30

ship with his father Zebedee, repairing the nets; 22 And he called them; they, immediately leaving the boat and his father, followed him. 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all diseases and diseases among the people. 24 And his fame ran throughout all Syria, and they brought him all.

31

Chapter 03 The fire needs to burn The fire of the Holy Spirit must burn in our lives, we are cold by religiosity, we are cold for lack of God, see our services, people come and go and nothing happens, because God was not there, the presence of God did not come, and because did not come? He did not come because we are not worthy of him, and we must correct our lives, we must ask for forgiveness and weep until he moves us from our weakness, until the Lord forgives us of our impurity. 32

We need to be more locked in our rooms, we need to review our lives, we need to sweep the house and take the dirt out of our hearts, let God work.

The fire must burn, we can not go to the services as we have gone, after seeing such mundane and carnal things and simply thinking that God is there waiting for us, and when we enter the church his presence will act, not my beloved ones in Christ, a worship begins in our homes, God wants to attend our homes, our families. The fire must burn and burn our lives to the point that people see God in 33

us, we are the bible that many people read, our lives are the only thing outsiders can know of God, fire must burn and make us similar to the savior.

Fire needs to burn, burn in our hearts, we need cults filled with the presence and glory of God, he wants to dwell in our midst, he wants to return to our temples, but he seeks a people surrendered to him, surrendered to his presence , empty of himself and needy of the Lord. It is necessary to cry, to seek his face, we need to repent, I and you need tears of repentance, tears in the eyes and recognition that we have kind of 34

manipulated the things of God, We have deceived ourselves when we think we are at the center of his will when we really are not, when we think that God is in our midst and in reality he has abandoned us.

The fire must burn, burn, to the point of the cloud of God's Glory to return to our nation, to return to our denomination, to hover over our lives.

35

In the year that king Uzziah died, I also saw the Lord sitting on a high and lofty throne; and the tail of his robe filled the temple. 2 And Seraphim stood upon him; each had six wings; with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 And they cried to one another, saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the doorposts of the gates moved to the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 36

5 Then said I, Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. 6 But one of the seraphims flew toward me, and he had a live coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with a tenacious one; 7 And with the hot coals he touched my mouth, and said, Behold, this hath touched thy lips; and thy iniquity is taken away, and thy sin is expiated. 8 After this I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who shall go for us? And I said, Here am I; send me.

37

9 And he said, Go, and say unto this people, Hear ye indeed, and understand not, and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Grease the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; so that he may not see with his eyes, and not hear with his ears, nor understand with his heart, nor turn and be healed.

38

11 And I said, How long, Lord? And he said, Till the cities be desolate, and they be without inhabitants, and the houses without inhabitant, and the land be desolate. 12 And the Lord turn men away from her, and in the midst of the earth let helplessness be. 13 But the tenth shall remain in it, and it shall be pastured again; and like the oak tree, and like the holm oak, which, after they have defoliated, still stand, so the holy seed shall be her firmness.

Isaiah 6x1,13 39

Chapter 04 God is here ? Not my brother, he is not and this is easy to know, even the ungodly have noticed that he is not here.

Wicked men have attended our services and they have not seen God, only words, we speak, he is here? But this has not been true, because I say this, look at a good part of the church today, it does not look anything like Christ, carnal men and women, worldly men and women

40

who attend cults but do not know God. Just words, we need to acknowledge that God must come, that His glory must hover in our temples, in our worship, and this will happen when the church cries out and weeps and acknowledges that it has failed, that it has been silent and that it has been carnal. The church needs to go back to the first love, starting with me and you. Yes, you and I need to return to an intimate relationship with God, seek his face, seek and stop only when we meet him again. Often we begin to pray and see that God did not come and go, when we 41

should continue and continue until something happens, until we hear his voice, until we are touched by his presence.

God wants to be manifest, but we can not spend even a few minutes in His presence, God wants His people to know Him, but we have done nothing to change it, our schedules are full, we are taking time for everything but His presence.

42

Write to the angel of the church of Ephesus, "This is he who has in his right hand the seven stars, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks: 2 I know thy works, and thy work, and thy patience, and that thou canst not suffer the wicked; and thou hast tried them that say they are apostles, and they are not, and thou hast found them liars.

3 And thou hast suffered, and thou hast patience; and thou hast labored for my name, and thou hast not wearied. 43

4 I have, however, against thee, that thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore where thou hast fallen, and repent, and do the first deeds; if not, I will come to you briefly, and I will take your candlestick out of its place, if you do not repent. 6 But ye have this: that ye hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. 8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: This says the first and the last, which was slain, and revived: 44

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty (but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they Jews, and they are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear thou not of the things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tempted; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, He that overcometh shall not receive the hurt of the second death.

45

12 And unto the angel of the church which is in Pergamos write, These things saith he that hath the sharp sword of two cords: 13 I know your works, and where you dwell, which is where the throne of Satan is; and keep my name, and deny not my faith, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, which was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who follow the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to stumble before the children of Israel, to eat the sacrifices of idolatry, and to commit fornication.

46

15 So you also have those who follow the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which I hate. 16 Repent therefore, when I come not soon unto thee, and I will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches, To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new written name upon the stone, which no man knoweth but he that knoweth receives it. 18 And unto the angel of the church of Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, which hath his eyes

47

like a flame of fire, and his feet like unto bright brass: 19 I know your works, and your love, and your service, and your faith, and your patience, and your last works are more than the first. 20 But I have a few things against you, that you leave Jezebel, a woman who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and deceive my servants, that they may fornicate and eat of the sacrifices of idolatry. 21 And I gave him time to repent of his fornication; and did not regret it. 22 Behold, I will lay her in a bed, and on those who commit adultery with her, great tribulation will come, unless they repent of their deeds. 48

23 And I will smite his sons with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the kidneys and the hearts. And I will give to every one of you according to your works. 24 But I say unto you, and to the remnant that are in Thyatira, to all them that have not this doctrine, and have not known, as they say, the depths of Satan, that I will put no other burden upon thee. 25 But what ye have, hold fast until I come. 26 And to him that overcometh, and keepeth my works to the end, I will give him power over the nations,

49

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and they shall be broken like potters' vessels; as I also received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 2x1,29

Chapter 05 The sovereign plan of God I believe that our history is already traced by God, every day that I walk more and more in the presence of the most high I am convinced of this, he drew a plan in eternity beloved. He wrote his story, he will fulfill the plans and projects he promised. The plan begins, not when a man accepts him as his Lord and savior, the plan begins not when we say yes to God, not when we enter a temple, but begins in God, in the spiritual world, in eternity, in the heart of the Father. 51

A life of faith and labor alongside the eternal person of the Holy Spirit, the one who is one with God and the Son Jesus Christ.

God chooses a people for himself, God chooses a bride for his son Jesus Christ, a holy people, separated in eternity for the wedding of the lamb, God draws a plan when we did not yet exist, but he seeing the ages, he seeing future generations choose men and women to be made sons of God, beings who are not carnal but spiritual. 52

A predetermined plan in the heart of God, a plan drawn in the highest that choice did not begin in me, it did not begin in you, it began in that which is the great I AM. The word that became flesh and dwelt among us, with grace and mercy, he is faithful.

Christianity will ask us for everything, in search of salvation there is a call for me and for you, to seek a life in holiness, in prayer in Christ Jesus, he is the way, he is the source that creates life in us.

53

It is not enough to attend church, it is not enough to be evangelical only, there is something more, deeper in this pure relationship with the Lord, he calls us to teach us to be spiritual and vivified in the truth.

In the present day we see a weak and natural evangelical church, a good part of the church does not know what it is to pray, to relate to God, are fragile with this world and belong to this earth, carnal men and women and who live their own pleasures.

54

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, to the saints in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ; 4 As he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love; 5 And predestinated unto us unto adoption by Jesus Christ unto himself,

55

according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, whereby he hath made us pleasant in the Beloved, 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of offenses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 That he hath made abundance with us in all wisdom and prudence; 9 When he had revealed to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in himself, 10 To bring all things together again in Christ, in the dispensation of the 56

fullness of the times, both that which is in the heavens and that which are on the earth; 11 In whom also we were made an inheritance, being predestined, according to the purpose of him that worketh all things, according to the counsel of his own will; 12 In order that we may be to the praise of his glory, we who hope first in Christ; 13 In whom also ye are, after ye have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; and having believed also in him, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise; 14 Which is the surety of our inheritance, to the redemption of the 57

purchased possession, to the praise of his glory. 15 Wherefore, when I hear also the faith which is in you, which is in the Lord Jesus, and your love toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks to God for you, remembering you in my prayers: 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you in his knowledge the spirit of wisdom and revelation;

18 And the eyes of your understanding have been enlightened, that ye may know the hope of his calling, and the riches of 58

the glory of his inheritance in the saints; 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power over us, who believe, according to the working of the power of his might, 20 Which he manifested in Christ, raising him from the dead, and putting him at his right hand in the heavens, 21 Above all principality, and power, and power, and dominion, and of every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in the age to come; 22 And he put all things under his feet, and made him the head of the church over all things, 59

23 That is his body, the fullness of him that fulfilled all in all.

Chapter 06 The Glory of God My beloved in Christ, it is easy to say that our generation did not know a revival, we have not yet seen the glory of God, the anointing that many generations have already contemplated, an indescribable glory, but I believe that our theology can not offer us this anointing, we have more seminaries, a more formulated theology, the letter we know, but we lack the anointing, the force of the 60

presence of God, it is generated in the heart of God, it is generated in a cry that is born in the soul of a man and a woman , in the soul of a church, of a community, of a nation.

What you and I know of God is very little, there is no choice but to go in the past, the scriptures and the history of the church, revivals that occurred within a sovereign plan of the Father, I believe God has chosen a people for this generation, a people who are already crying out for more of God, for souls, a people thirsting not for words, but for Anointing of presence of God. 61

God wants to manifest his glory, but there is a church that is not prepared, yes I am speaking about me and you, of workers, men and women of leadership, we are not ready for new things, we prefer to stay in the mediocrity of our lives

Because new things take us out of the comfort zone, the church needs to prepare for new things surreal things that are about to happen, not this religiosity that we know but great things generated in the heart of God. It is necessary to cry out, to weep and to repent of our sins, God needs a people empty of itself, empty of our

62

theories and our weak theologies, to know supernatural things of God. Not what we hear but things we experience, spiritual world experiences. We have equipment of the best, a more formulated theology and yet we still do not influence our neighborhood, our community does not know Jesus, because the Church today does not know the savior, their souls do not burn for things from heaven, there is a flaw in our way of living with God, and that has to change, starting with me and you.

63

How to express in words or describe the presence of God? How to attract this presence so powerful and holy? How to be an instrument of God on earth, to be then an agent of transformation not only of environments or territories but of lives! I understand that when we come to know the true sense of worship, not in lyrics of songs or moments of emotions.

When we surrender to God not our best, but give our pains, fears, limitations. Fears. I believe that we have in this truth of a straight and sincere character touching the heart 64

of the Father where he fills us in the fullness of his presence and makes us overflow in its essence and thus we become the agent of transformation wherever.

Emptying ourselves.

He wants to pour new wine on us, He wants to use us to transform lives! Break paradigms! Break protocols!

He wants the freedom of our total surrender. He wants to appear in us. But to do this you must disappear. 65

He's great, we're small. Often prevented from acting on it because we are concerned about our Self, What people will think about speaking or acting. Many want to follow Jesus! Few are willing to deny themselves

Supernatural experiences are detached from natural persons He is spirit, Adoration in spirit, Behind the manifestation of the Presence of God!

66

And he brought me to the door, to the gate that looketh toward the east. 2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was as the voice of many waters, and the earth shone for his glory. 3 And the form of the vision that I saw was like that of the vision which I had when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were as I had by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face. 4 And the glory of the LORD entered the house by the way of the gate, whose face is toward the east. 67

5 And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. 6 And I heard a man speaking with me from within the house, and a man stood by me. 7 And he said unto me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever: and the house of Israel shall not defile my holy name, neither they nor their kings, with their harlots, and with the corpses of their kings, in their high places, 8 Setting their threshold at my threshold, and their threshold by my 68

threshold, and there being a wall between me and them; and they defiled my holy name with their abominations which they had committed; therefore I have consumed them in my wrath. 9 And now cast their prostitution away from me, and the corpses of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst for ever. 10 And thou, son of man, shew the house of Israel unto this house, that it may be ashamed of its iniquities, and measure the pattern.

11 And ashamed of all that they did, let them know the form of this house, and its form, and its going forth, and 69

its inlets, and all its forms, and all its statutes, all its forms, and all its laws; and write it in their eyes, that they may keep all their form, and all their statutes, and do them. 12 This is the law of the house: Upon the top of the mount shall all the compass round about it be most holy; behold, this is the law of the house. 13 And these are the measures of the altar in cubits (the cubit is a cubit and a span): and the bottom shall be a cubit in height, and a cubit in breadth, and its border in all its compass, palmo; and this is the base of the altar. 14 And from the bottom, from the earth to the lower frame, two cubits, 70

and a cubit wide, and from the little frame to the great one, four cubits, and the breadth of a cubit. 15 And the altar was four cubits; and from the altar and upward were four horns. 16 And the altar shall be twelve cubits long, and twelve wide, and four cubits square. 17 And the frame, fourteen cubits long, and fourteen cubits wide, on the four sides thereof; and round about it a half cubit, and the bottom thereof a cubit round about; and their steps were toward the east. 18 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the statutes of the altar in the day 71

that they do it, to offer upon it a burnt offering, and to sprinkle upon it blood. 19 And to the priests the Levites, who are of the seed of Zadok, who come to me (saith the Lord GOD) to serve me, thou shalt give a bullock for a sin offering. 20 And thou shalt take of his blood, and put it upon the four corners thereof, and upon the four corners of the frame, and upon the border round about; so you shall purify it and expiate it. 21 And thou shalt take the bullock of the sin offering, and burn it in the place of the house appointed for it, outside the sanctuary. 72

22 And on the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall purify the altar, as they have cleansed it with the calf. 23 And when thou hast finished purifying it, thou shalt offer a bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. 24 And thou shalt offer them before the face of the LORD; and the priests shall pour salt upon them, and offer them for a burnt offering to the LORD. 25 Seven days you shall prepare a goat for a sin offering every day; And they shall prepare a bullock, and a ram of the flock, without blemish.

73

26 And they shall expiate the altar seven days, and purify it; and so shall they consecrate themselves. 27 And it shall come to pass, that on the eighth day, and thereafter, the priests shall offer up your burnt offerings and your peace offerings upon the altar; and I will delight in you, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezequiel 43x1.27

And Solomon said, The LORD hath said to dwell in the darkness.

2 And I have built thee a house for an abode, and a place for thy everlasting habitation. 3 And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel, and all the congregation of Israel stood. 4 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake by my mouth to David my father; and hath fulfilled his hands, saying, 5 From the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose not one city out of all the tribes 75

of Israel, to build in it a house where my name was; nor did I choose any man to be a leader of my people, Israel. 6 But I chose Jerusalem to be my name there; and I chose David to be over my people Israel. 7 And David my father had in his heart to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. 8 And the LORD said unto David my father, Because thou hast had thine heart to build a house for my name, thou hast well done it in thine heart. 9 Yet thou shalt not build the house, but thy son, which shall proceed out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name. 76

10 Thus hath the LORD confirmed his word, which he hath spoken; for I arose in the place of David my father, and sat upon the throne of Israel, as the LORD spake, and built the house unto the name of the LORD God of Israel. 11 And I have put therein the ark, wherein is the covenant which the LORD made with the children of Israel. 12 And he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and stretched forth his hands. 13 For Solomon had made a platform of metal five cubits long, five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had 77

set it in the middle of the court, and stood upon it, and knelt down in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands toward heaven. 14 And he said, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee, neither in the heavens nor in the earth; who keepeth covenant and mercy unto thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart. 15 Which thou hast kept to thy servant David my father, what thou hast spoken to him; because thou hast said it by thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it by thy hand, as it is this day. 16 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep thy servant David my 78

father, what thou hast spoken, saying, There shall no man be cut off from before me, that he shall sit upon the throne of Israel; only let thy children keep their way, walking in my law, as thou hast walked before me. 17 And now, O Lord God of Israel, let thy word be fulfilled, which thou hast spoken to thy servant David. 18 But will God dwell with men on the earth? Behold, the heavens, and the heaven of heavens, can not contain thee, how much less this house which I have built? 19 Hearken therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God; to hear the cry, and

79

the prayer which thy servant doeth before thee. 20 Let thine eyes be open day and night upon this place, whereof thou hast said to set thy name there; to hear the prayer that your servant prays in this place. 21 Hear therefore the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall do in this place; and hear thou from the place of thy dwelling, from heaven; Hear, and forgive. 22 And if any man sin against his neighbor, and swear an oath of a curse, and cause him to swear, and the oath of the curse come before thy altar in this house, 80

23 Hear thou then from the heavens, and act and judge thy servants, and condemn the wicked, and recompense his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness. 24 And when thy people Israel shall be smitten before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and they shall turn and confess thy name, and pray and pray before thee in this house, 25 Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sins of thy people Israel; and bring them again into the land which thou hast given them, and to their fathers. 81

26 When the heavens are closed, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee, and pray in this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sins, when thou afflict them, 27 Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, teaching them the way in which they walk; and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance. 28 When there is a famine in the land, when there is pestilence, when there is a burning of the harvest, or rust, locust, or caterpillar, some of its enemies surround it in the land of its gates, or when there is any plague, 82

29 All the prayer, and all the supplication, which any man shall make, or all thy people Israel, knowing every man his plague, and his pain, and stretching out his hands to this house, 30 Then hear thou from heaven, from the seat of thy dwelling, and forgive; and give every man according to all his ways, according as thou knowest his heart; for thou alone knowest the hearts of the children of men; 31 That they may fear thee, that they may walk in thy ways, as long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

83

32 So also to the stranger, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes from far off lands for the sake of your great name, and with your mighty hand, and with your outstretched arm, coming and praying in this house; 33 Then hear thou from the heavens, from the seat of thy habitation, and do according to all that the stranger beg you: that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as thy people Israel; and to know that by thy name the house which I have built is called. 34 When your people go out to war against their enemies, by the way that you send them, and pray to you to the 84

side of this city that you have chosen, and from this house that I have built for your name, 35 Then hear from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and do them justice. 36 When they sin against you (for there is no man who does not sin), and you are angry with them and give them over to the enemy, so that those who captivate them will take them captive to some remote or neighboring land, 37 And in the land, whither they are carried away into captivity, they fall into it, and turn, and into the land of their captivity, to supplicate unto thee, saying, We have sinned, we 85

have done wickedly, and have done wickedly; 38 And they shall return unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, which they have taken captive, and pray to the side of their land, which thou hast given to their fathers, and to this city which and for this house which I have built for thy name, 39 Then hear from the heavens, from the seat of your dwelling, his prayer and his supplications, and execute his right; and forgive thy people that they have sinned against thee. 40 Now therefore, O my God, let thine eyes be open, and thine ears be attentive to the prayer of this place. 86

41 Now therefore arise, O Lord God, for thy rest, thou and the ark of thy fortress; your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice for good. 42 O Lord, do not turn away the face of your anointed; Remember the mercies of David your servant.

2 Chronicles 6x1,42

87

And when Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. 2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. 3 And all the children of Israel, when they saw the fire come down, and the glory of Jehovah upon the house, bowed with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshiped and praised Jehovah, saying, Because he is good; gentleness lasts forever. 88

4 And the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. 5 And king Solomon offered the sacrifices of oxen, twenty-two thousand, and sheep, an hundred and twenty thousand; and the king and all the people consecrated the house of God. 6 And the priests served in their offices; and the Levites with the instruments of the LORD, which David the king made, to praise the LORD: for his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised him by their service; and the priests blew the trumpets before them, and all Israel stood. 7 And Solomon hath sanctified the midst of the court, which was before 89

the house of the LORD; for there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings; for on the altar of metal, which Solomon had made, the burnt offering and the meat offering and the fat could not fit. 8 And at that time Solomon celebrated the feast seven days and all Israel with him, a great congregation from the entrance of Hamath to the river of Egypt. 9 And on the eighth day they made a solemn assembly; for seven days they celebrated the consecration of the altar, and seven days the feast. 10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people away to their tents, glad and of good 90

cheer, for the good which the LORD had done to David, and to Solomon, and to his people Israel. 11 So Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the house of the king, and all that Solomon had done to the house of the LORD, and in his house, prosperously did it. 12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place for a house of sacrifice unto me. 13 If I close the heavens, and there is no rain; or to command the locusts to consume the land; or if I send the plague among my people; 14 And if my people, which are called by my name, humble themselves, and 91

pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land . 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer of this place. 16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be in it for ever; and my eyes and my heart shall be fixed therein. 17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and keep my statutes and my judgments, 18 And I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according to the 92

covenant which I made with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a successor over Israel. 19 But if ye turn aside and forsake my statutes, and my commandments, which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, 20 Then will I pluck them out of my land which I have given them, and I will cast out this house which I have consecrated for my name, and I will make it a proverb and a motto among all people. 21 And of this house, which is so exalted, whosoever passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall say, Why

93

hath the Lord done thus to this land and this house? 22 And they shall say, Because they have forsaken the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and gave themselves to other gods, and fell down before them, and served them; therefore he brought upon them all this evil.
