Rack and pinion presses

PRESSES

Benzing rack and pinion presses have been specially developed for fine mechanical work. The direct, constant transmission of the applied force enables work to be carried out sensitively and accurately. The press table is produced in two versions: Table bore: The table bore enables tools to be centred quickly and with high repeat accuracy. The tool can be fixed by means of the threaded transverse bore. T-slot: Tools can be aligned and fixed in the T-slot with its defined fit. The different press sizes enable a press to be chosen to match the tool. The height-adjustable press head on nearly all models enables tools to be changed quickly and the press to be set up to suit different working heights. The press ram is additionally guided by means of a cylindrical pin and is therefore practically prevented from rotating. The required working stroke can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw.

Upgrades for HKP type toggle presses Upgrades enable HKP toggle presses to be optimally matched to your application: UTP = Fine adjustment of the bottom dead centre position Toggle presses do not develop their force until the end of the stroke at the bottom dead centre. After setting the daylight of the press head, the bottom dead centre of the press can be precisely adjusted with the UTP fine adjustment feature. Accessories for hand lever presses

Clamping plates with T-slot

Throat extender

The clamping plates ASP 150 and ASP 200 enable tools to be changed more quickly and with greater accuracy: The tool centring pin is inserted in the 12H7 bore and clamped by means of the grub screw.

A throat of 75 mm is often not sufficient for bulky and larger parts. Together with the spacer block DB 136 and the table plate T 135 a throat of 135 mm can be achieved with press types HP 200* and HP 250*.

T-nuts and fixing screws are included with the clamping plates.

Spacer block and clamping plate are supplied together with the appropriate screws and T-nuts.

Straightening fixture for hand lever presses

PRESSES

Run-out testing and straightening. BENZING hand lever presses with the appropriate BENZING straightening fixture are ideal for reworking your parts. The straightening fixture is suitable for parts up to 10 mm in diameter. Please note that the required straightening force also depends on the length of the workpiece. For a complete kit, it is best to order the straightening fixture together with one of the two BENZING dial gauges.

Impact percussion presses

Impact percussion presses generate their force in a sudden burst. A spring is tensioned by hand or by means of a pneumatic cylinder. After a defined spring tensioning stroke, the stored energy is then suddenly released and transmitted to the tool. The percussive force of the press can be steplessly adjusted by means of a star knob. Impact percussion presses are therefore often used as embossing presses.

Benzing pneumatic presses achieve forces up to 6 kN at an operating pressure of 6 bar. They are designed particularly for the assembly and other processing of small components. The press ram is additionally guided by means of a cylindrical pin and is therefore practically prevented from rotating. The stroke length can be adjusted. Together with the two-hand controller BST-2H Benzing pneumatic presses meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive and are CE compliant. You will find details of the controller on page 13.

ST 250 The pneumatic Benzing rotary indexing table ST 250 is ideal for fitting to the DRP 250 press. Full utilisation of the table can be achieved by using 12 stations. However, the controller BST-2HRT also enables stations to be bypassed, thus achieving 6 or 4-station operation.

Controllers and safety

PRESSES

The 2-hand safety controller for Benzing pneumatic presses The BST-2H safety controller for Benzing presses complies with the requirements for safe 2-hand controllers for pneumatic presses with manual loading. Safety is provided by its redundant design with safety components which have been tested and approved for pneumatic presses. Benzing BST-2H safety controllers fulfil the requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and other relevant safety standards for pneumatic presses and are CE compliant.

BST-2H controllers are available in the following versions: BST-2H The simplest version: The press is active as long as both release buttons are pressed. The return stroke is carried out automatically when the release signal is removed. BST-2H-Z Two-hand controller with adjustable press time at end of stroke. The press stroke is initiated by means of the 2-hand buttons. When the press has Throated the end of its stroke, a timer starts which initiates the return stroke after a pre-set time.

Subject to technical modifications

BST-2H-RT Two-hand controller in combination with rotary indexing table RT 250 with adjustable press time at end of stroke. RT 250 has 12 stations. The membrane keypad can be used to programme the controller such that only 4 or 6 stations are addressed.

BENZING measuring technology As well as presses, Benzing also produces high-quality measuring equipment. BENZING run-out testers Run-out testers are produced with centre heights of 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm. Benzing run-out testers are available with a cast iron or granite base. A feature product is the Benzing vertical run-out tester. A wide range of accessories, such as V-block supports, roller wheels and live centring points, complete the programme. We would also be pleased to produce centring points and accessories to your requirements.

BENZING taper measuring device The taper measuring device KMG is used for measuring external tapers. The measuring technique is based on the sine principle. The Benzing taper measuring device is particularly suitable for checking dimensional accuracy after or even during production.

Measuring tables

BENZING measuring tables The Benzing measuring table programme is distinguished by its extraordinary diversity of individual measuring table types. Measuring table plates are made either of steel, ceramic or granite. Depending on the design, the measuring table surface is fine-ground or lapped. Top-mounted measuring table blocks with graduations are available for special requirements. The dial gauge holder on all measuring tables can be adjusted by means of a column. The working height is adjusted either by means of a simple clamp, by means of column with thread and adjusting ring, or conveniently by means of a threaded spindle with hand wheel. The dial gauge holder is produced in rigid or flexible designs. Some measuring tables can also be supplied with a fine adjustment for the dial gauge.
