Junior Golf Academy - June 18 - 20 Junior golfers of all levels, please join us for a three-day Junior Golf Academy. We will be working on full swing, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, equipment evaluation & club fittings, handicapping, etiquette, and Rules of Golf. Circus Camp - June 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 Healdsburg Gymnastics & Russian River Circus School Owner, Sergey Zenov performed with the Russian Circus for more than 20 years. He also directed the San Francisco Circus School and trained many of the Circus Ole performers. This camp offers a variety of unique activities especially designed to develop personal fitness and improve self-confidence, while gaining group cooperation skills. Equipment work will include trampoline, trapeze, tumbling strips, bungee and ropes. Floor activities will include tumbling, games, as well as solo and group routine rehearsal. Kids’ Weekend - July 5 & 6 Saturday, July 5 - Creative Wick, Windsor Join us for an exciting field trip to the candle making studio. Each camper will discover their creative side by making a lovely candle to keep or to give as a special handmade gift. $15 Parent Participation Sunday, July 6 - Incredibly Fun Science of Bubble-Ology What happens when you mix a physics teacher with soap and water? You get Louis Pearl, The Amazing Bubble Man! Get ready to be wowed, amazed, and to laugh out loud. Louis makes learning FUN by mixing science in with the pure thrills of his show. Parents and campers, join us at the Club to learn how bubbles are possible, how bubbles pop, and why soap and water make bubbles. Lunch is included during the afternoon session. Adventure Camp - July 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Monday, July 14 - Self-Defense Training at Mayacama Bill Houle has 25 years of experience and is a second-degree black belt in Kenpo Karate. He is a level two Instructor in the Filipino Martial Arts. In 1996 he was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Campers will be introduced to martial arts; the history and philosophy of discipline. Energetic participation will include some easy self-defense techniques, basic punches, kicks, falls, and rolls for a good cardio workout. Most importantly, campers will learn core values of self-confidence, focus, and respect for others. Tuesday, July 15 - Pacific Coast Air Museum, Sonoma County Airport Founded in 1989, the Pacific Coast Air Museum is dedicated to promoting the acquisition, restoration, and display of historical aircraft, and provides an educational venue for students. Wednesday, July 16 - Reach Helicopter Search & Rescue, Sonoma County Airport REACH began providing helicopter air ambulance services for the citizens of Northern California on April 17, 1987. Learn about the history of REACH, Dr. McDonald’s dream, and helicopter capabilities. Meet some REACH pilot heroes who treat every transport as the most important one ever made. Thursday, July 17 - Exotic Animals at Mayacama Take a walk on the wild side. Mayacama will have a visit from animal ambassadors who will teach us about their world. Get ready to meet a Clouded Leopard, Ferrets, Hedgehogs, Sugar Gliders, Fennec Foxes, Spiders, and Lizards. Friday, July 18 - Cloverleaf Ranch Since 1949 Cloverleaf Ranch’s facilities have been home to programs of wholesome, enjoyable ranch life for boys and girls. Campers will enjoy archery, ropes course, and a zip line. Lunch is included during the afternoon session. Special Family Excursion - July 19 Civil War Reenactment at Duncan Mills An unforgettable educational experience for all ages! Walk through the camps of the Union and Confederacy and witness battle reenactments. Discovery Camp - July 21, 22, 23 Monday, July 21 - Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory, Petaluma We will visit Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory, the oldest and largest sticker factory in the USA. Campers will watch the magic as millions of sticker get printed, packaged, and shipped right before their eyes. Campers will go to the art room where they will get to decorate their own postcard. Tuesday, July 22 - Mayacama Golf Course Maintenance Join our very own Golf Course Superintendent, Dale Engman for a behind the scenes tour of all the fun machines used to maintain the golf course. Campers will learn about fairway mowers, greens mowers, tractors, see a sprinkler demonstration, and check out other cool tools that are used around the golf course. They will also learn about grass varieties, why it’s important to fix ball marks, and discover why weeds are weeds. In the afternoon, campers will make their own beautiful mosaic stepping stone with Camp Director, Denise. Wednesday, July 23 - Hallberg Butterfly Gardens Discover the Hallberg butterfly and wildlife sanctuary - especially for Pipevine Swallowtail Butterfly - in an old-fashioned garden setting. On our return to the Club, campers will learn how to make natural soap with Teresa Miller! Lunch is included during the afternoon session. Evening Family Excursion - July 26 Shakespeare Festival - The Comedy of Errors Bring your family for a night of Shakespeare under the stars. For Mom and Dad, Chef will pack a beautiful selection of Sonoma County breads and cheeses to pair with their favorite wine. For the entire family to enjoy, our Pastry Chef will bake up a batch of scrumptious cookies! So grab a blanket and head to the Windsor Town Green to enjoy Shakespeare, family style. Club provided transportation departs at 5 pm. We will get you there in plenty of time to enjoy a stroll around the Town Green and a splash in the fountain. Pre show entertainment begins at 6:30 pm Recommended Gear: Sweatshirts, Blankets, and low beach chairs for your viewing comfort. Junior Boot Camp - July 30 - August 1 All Mayacama Juniors are invited to join General Ted Antonopoulos and Drill Sergeant Chapman Dundas for a three-day golf school, military style! After Basic Calisthenics each day, Juniors will learn full swing, putting, chipping, pitching, etiquette, and Rules of Golf. The last day will include a Putting Championship & Scramble Tournament complete with an awards lunch. Training is open to all children ages 5 to 10. Theatre Arts Camp - August 4, 5, 6 Camper Ages 5-11 North Bay Youth Theater Company Matt and Shelly Proschold are the Founders and directors of North Bay Youth Theater Company. Matt is the former education Director of Valley Youth Theaters in Arizona. He is also the recipient of both the AriZoni Theater Award for Best Director of Children’s Plays and the Best Drama Logue Award. They have been teaching children’s theater for twelve years, and have produced and directed over thirty shows each. Jordan Sparks (American Idol), Taylor Dooley (Lava Girl), Emma Stone (Superbad), are all former students of Mr. and Mrs. Proschold. This workshop will encompass many aspects of theatre including music, dance, and acting. Campers will produce and perform a play both days. Show time for parents at 3 pm each day. Film & Special Effects Camp - August 4, 5, 6 Camper Ages 10 and Up

Join Hollywood’s very own Clark Schaffer for a film making, special effects workshop. Campers will produce their very own movie clip and go home with a DVD of their work. Clark Schaffer credit list includes Mystery Men, X-Files, Dante’s Peak, Batman and Robin, Batman Forever, Batman Returns, Speed, Star Trek Generations, and Die Hard: With a Vengeance. Inventors’ Workshop - August 8, 9, 10 What do you get when you combine science, art and games? Incredible fun, great energ y, and learning that thrills. Back by popular demand, Instructor Mark Bradski, holds a credential in elementary education and is an expert in hands-on science fun. His goal for students to instill a love of learning and the ability to solve problems with a scientific approach. So get ready for exciting experiments and mind-boggling demonstrations. Guaranteed fun for kids of all ages. Friday, August 8 - Chemistry Comes Alive Join us for a day of safe chemical reactions. We will make potions, slime, experiment with dry ice, and make yummy chemical reactions of ice cream and butter. Saturday, August 9 - Flight Day Make your own rockets, design and test airplane designs, helium mini-blimps, potato rockets, and demonstrations of rocket launches and remote controlled aircraft. Sunday, August 10 - Toy Science Day Make some toys that feature science concepts, like a gravity-powered “bird”, rubber band shooters, magnetic mini golf course, and a mini car powered by gravity, wind and magnets, plus other toy surprises. Lego Engineering - September 13 & 14 Play-Well TEKnologies will be on site teaching engineering concepts through the use of Legos. Campers will design and build a belt and pulley car of a battle track “monorail� project. Other projects may include racecars, catapults or robo bots. Come join the fun. Lunch is included during the afternoon session. Camp Details Ages / Parent Participation / Child Care Although camp sessions are geared toward ages 5 to 12, we welcome children of all ages. Parents are always welcome to accompany us on excursions and to participate in featured activities. Parent participation fees may apply. Child care is also available upon request. Enrollment / Cancellations Please find event dates, times, and pricing under each camp listing. For further details, Contact our Camp Director, Denise for a Camp Itinerary. Once reservations are received, a registration form will need to be completed for each child. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged in full. Proper Attire Children must observe the customs of proper golf attire and golf shoes. Golf clubs may be provided upon request. Children to bring swim suits, sunscreen, and water wings for beginner swimmers. Towels are provided by the Club. Proper tennis attire and tennis shoes (non-marking or white-soled) shall be worn. Tennis rackets are provided by the Club. Camp Sessions 9:15 - 11:15 am $50 Group Rate $75 Per Hour Private Transportation Club provided transportation is included in camp fees. As safety is our first concern, California State Laws regarding child passenger restraint systems must be observed. Parents must provide car/booster seats or transportation for younger children. All camp activities are subject to change.
