LETTER FROM THE EDITORS Well UK, no surprise, it’s been one heck of a year. We here in the Grehan Journalism Building basement have spent the past year ordering takeout, taking photos, taking naps and ultimately doing everything we could to capture what it means to be a UK student. In the following pages you’ll find everything from heartbreak to overwhelming joy, from student protests in the wake of Ferguson, to exhausted dancers at Dance Blue.
What we’re trying to say is, there’s a lot going on in here, just like there is on our campus. Next time you go to a campus event, whether it be a football game or a gallery opening, you might see someone on our crew with more cameras around them than they have fingers and another bag or two of lenses tossed over their shoulder. It’s these photographers’ work that make up this book, their day in-day out attempts to tell the stories of campus, and it’s to them
that we, your humble editors, are extremely grateful. We set out wanting not only to chronicle some damn good photographs, but also to do our best at telling these stories. Our only regret is that we couldn’t do more. Without much further ado, here are your stories UK, here is your Year in Photos. Go Big Blue, Damir Kocer, Main Editor, and Michael Reaves, Photo Editor

STUDENT LIFE 14-43
Student’s lives can be very complicated. Juggling a few dozen things at once is just another skill in the average student’s toolbox, one which can make them balance everything from classwork to community involvement.
