Motors is proud to be a supporter of the MPAC and all it does for our community.
Thank you for “escaping” with us to the vineyard this evening!
Tonight is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate Mayo Performing Arts Center, our honoree, Adam Greene and Trend Motors, and to support our expanding education programs.
In the two and a half years since the start of the pandemic upended MPAC’s operations, our organization has slowly but surely regained its footing and brought back arts experiences to our stage, in our classrooms and throughout the community. We are in the midst of a multiple year recovery, but are hopeful that with your support, we will return to be a stronger organization than prior to the pandemic.
The Starlight Ball is our largest fundraiser of the year. It is also the event we most look forward to each season. Every year, we are thrilled and thankful for your overwhelming support. So many have given from the heart, and continue to give, because you believe in what MPAC means to our community. That is what makes our honoree, Adam Greene and Trend Motors so special. We are grateful for their support when it was needed the most during the pandemic, and for their continued support since. Tonight is our opportunity to thank them — and you — for all that do to make MPAC the very special place it is in our community.
Thank you to our numerous Diamond, Sapphire, Gold and Star Sponsors for your generous support for this evening’s event, and to our amazing Starlight Ball Co-Chairs, Committee and staff member s for their hard work in putting this exciting event together.

Mayo Performing Arts Center is delighted to honor Trend Motors with this year’s Starlight Award for its generous support of MPAC.
For over 50 years, Trend Motors VW has been a leading pillar in the Morris County community, offering all-things Volkswagen to the residents of Morristown, Rockaway and many other neighboring areas in North Jersey. To describe the Trend family in one word it would have to be “community.” Trend Motors is active in many local events, including charity golf outings, National Night Out, a favorite at the annual Morristown St. Patrick’s Day Parade and of course, MPAC.
adam greene, presidentTrend Motors’ generous support began in 2019 and became critical during a time when the theater was mandated to remain shuttered for the summer of 2021. That year Trend became the title sponsor of The Trend Motors Drive-In Concert Series. Trend Motors’ support was an essential lifeline of funding for MPAC, especially when MPAC could not operate at full capacity due to COVID restrictions.
“Since 1965, Trend Motors VW has been proud to support our local community,” said Adam Greene, President, Trend Motors. “MPAC has brought fantastic music, acts and priceless culture to our area. The pandemic has been devastating for so many, especially our friends at MPAC, and we knew how important it was to assist them financially to get through these unimaginable times.”
Trend is also a CEO Level Business Circle member and was the Proud Lead Sponsor of the MPAC Spring Musical, School of Rock , in June. “Supporting MPAC shows your commitment to our community,” Greene says. “This is our home, and successful business owners should always look to support and help others, especially during challenging times. The entertainment, culture and happiness that MPAC brings cannot be replaced and makes Morris County even more special. We do not want to imagine what life would be like without the MPAC…and Trend Motors VW!”
For many years, Trend Motors donated 600 newspapers a day to help comfort patients and guests at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Trend always goes out of its way to support our local schools, little league, police, fire an d EMTs. While a community-driven business, it has also made out-of-town residents feel special and has many out-of-state fans too! Located on Route 46 in Rockaway, NJ, its dealership is easily accessible from many major highways, including Route 10, Route 80 and Route 287.
MPAC is grateful to Trend Motors for providing vital funding to help us bring our mission to the community. Please join us this year as we honor Trend Motors with the 2022 Starlight Award.

MPAC’s Performing Arts Company (PAC) is an ensemble of 30 students, ages 11-18, who perform Broadway-style songs at hospitals, eldercare centers, community events, local festivals and nonprofit fundraisers, free-of charge throughout the state. For 14 years, this program has been providing a vehicle for youth who share a passion for the performing arts to use their talents to give back to the community as they receive comprehensive training, also free-of-charge, from experienced teaching artists. Each PAC member is a talented singer, dancer and actor who has successfully auditioned. The PAC performs at around 30 New Jersey venues each season, enriching the lives of over 18,000 audience members. In addition to performing with artists who grace MPAC’s main stage, they have been invited to perform at the White House, Walt Disney World, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway with Kristin Chenoweth, and Gotham Hall in NyC for the Dramatists Guild Fund Gala.
