30th Anniversary Season and Starlight Award honorees
Mary Jane Robertson and Jock Clark
The 2024-2025 season marks the 30th anniversary of Mayo Performing Arts Center. Originally built as Morristownʼs premier movie theater in 1937 and called The Community Theatre, MPAC (renamed in 2009) was saved from the wrecking ball in 1994 by a group of community volunteers who envisioned a vibrant arts center.
Much has changed since then! Today, MPAC remains Morristownʼs crown jewel, and has evolved into a world-renowned performing arts center. Tony Bennett, Ringo Starr, Jerry Seinfeld, Gladys Knight, and many more of the worldʼs best known performers have graced the stage. It is the Morris County home to the New Jersey Symphony and New Jersey Ballet, and over the years has provided space for many other New Jersey-based arts organizations.
Beyond main stage performances, MPACʼs education and community engagement programs provide arts experiences for children and adults in our region through free programs, ticketed events and tuition-based classes. MPAC education programs, which include our performing arts school, student recognition programs, in-theatre field trips, residency programs and The Miracle Project, an arts program for children with autism and other specific needs, touch the lives of around 30,000 children and families annually.
Welcome to the Starlight Ball!
Thank you for joining us for our 26th annual Starlight Ball, “Strings of Pearls.”
We are thrilled to return to the Park Savoy Estate this year as we celebrate Mayo Performing Arts Center, our honorees, Mary Jane Robertson and Jock Clark, and to support our mission.
The Starlight Ball is our largest fundraiser of the year. Every year, we are grateful for your overwhelming support and for believing in what MPAC means to our community.
Tonight, we celebrate two wonderful honorees, Mary Jane Robertson and Jock Clark. Mary Jane Robertson is a valued and vital member of MPAC’s Board of Trustees. As Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, Chair of the Finance Committee, and Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign Committee, her leadership has been instrumental in shaping the future of MPAC. There may be no more enthusiastic or knowledgeable music fan than her husband, Jock Clark. After a successful legal career, Jock pursued his passion for music at the prestigious Berklee School of Music, getting his degree earlier this year! Mary Jane and Jock have been long-time MPAC supporters, and their commitment to the Morristown community is equally inspiring. Mary Jane has served as Treasurer of Impact100 Garden State for nine years; Jock has been Board President of Macculloch Hall since 2012. They truly are treasures of MPAC and the community.
We offer deepfelt thanks to our numerous Diamond, Sapphire, Gold and Star Sponsors for your generous support for this evening’s event, and to our amazing Starlight Ball Co-Chairs, Committee and staff members for their hard work in putting this exciting event together.
We look forward to spending an amazing and wonderful evening with you tonight. Thank you again for your generous support!

Trend — a staple for all things Volkswagen — celebrates the joy and vibrancy MPAC brings to Morristown’s community and local economy. Cheers to MPAC’s 30 years of excellence!
Congratulations to Mary Jane and Jock for this well-deserved honor.
Your contributions to our mission have directly enabled MPAC to become one of the preeminent Performing Arts Centers in the country.

MPAC thanks the Performing Arts Company for its performance at tonight’s Starlight Ball
The Performing Arts Company (PAC)
MPAC’s Performing Arts Company (PAC) is an ensemble of 30 students, ages 11-18, who perform Broadway-style songs at hospitals, eldercare centers, community events, local festivals and nonprofit fundraisers, free-of charge throughout the state. For 18 years, this program has been providing a vehicle for youth who share a passion for the performing arts to use their talents to give back to the community as they receive comprehensive training, also free-of-charge, from experienced teaching artists. Each PAC member is a talented singer, dancer and actor who has successfully auditioned. The PAC performs at around 30 New Jersey venues each season, enriching the lives of over 18,000 audience members. In addition to performing with artists who grace MPAC’s main stage, they have been invited to perform at the White House, Walt Disney World, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway with Kristin Chenoweth, and Gotham Hall in NYC for the Dramatists Guild Fund Gala.
