He has continued his education in improv and sketch comedy with The Second City’s House Co. and Bob Curry Fellowship where again his work earned him the opportunity to perform in the NBC Breakout Comedy Festival in Chicago. Alongside The Second City, Jonathan is proud to be a part of improvised musical geniuses Songbuster and sketch comedy super-friends Erotic Friend Fiction. CREATIVE TEAM GEORGE REINBLATT (Book and Lyrics, Co-Composer) George Reinblatt is a comedy writer whose credits are so varied, he literally needs a bio to list them all. Luckily for you, this is that bio. George has been a staff writer on multiple Comedy Central Roasts including the “Roast of Justin Bieber”, the “Roast of James Franco”, and the “Roast of Rob Lowe”. He has written comedy for the likes of Steve Martin, Tina Fey, John Cleese, Craig Ferguson, William Shatner, Seth Rogen, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman, Snoop Dogg, Jewel, Kelly Ripa, and many more. He was co-producer of the Comedy Central special “Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail”. He’s been a writer for Comedy Central’s “Roast Battle”, “The Burn”, “Jeff Ross Roasts Cops”, and “NBC New Years with Carson Daly”. On top of that, he was a contributing writer for both “The Arsenio Hall Show” and “Howard Stern’s Birthday Bash”. And if that wasn’t enough, up in Canada, George has written on multiple hit TV shows including: “The MuchMusic Video Awards”, “Rick Mercer’s Monday Report”, “Canada’s Walk of Fame”, “Match Game”, “Mr. D”, “Just For Laughs”, and “George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight”. “Evil Dead The Musical” is George’s first stage production. CHRISTOPHER BOND (Director, Co-Composer, Additional Lyrics) Christopher Bond is best known for his work on Evil Dead, the Musical, a show that he developed with his partners and directed since 2002, including the show’s US debut Off-Broadway (nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best New Musical) and its return to Canada at the Diesel Playhouse (Winner of the 2007 Dora Mavor Moore Audience Choice Award) which also received a Dora nomination for Outstanding Direction of a Musical. Evil Dead, the Musical continues to play all over the world including productions in Korea, Japan, Spain, on the Las Vegas strip and touring across the North America with Starvox Entertainment. Other recent works include directing and creating new material for Starvox’s smash hit Trey Parker’s Cannibal the Musical, co-writing and directing the official stage adaptation of Night of the Living Dead, where Christopher collaborated with horror legend George A. Romero and also directing the National Tour of the Disney princess spoof, Disenchanted. Christopher is also excited for his new work Little Black Dress, the Fearlessly Funny Girls Night Out Musical, to hit the road in Spring of 2018.Christopher’s writing and composition credits for the big and small screen, with co-writer Trevor Martin include A Little Bit Zombie, (Best Feature award at the 2013 Canadian Film Festival , Best Feature Fantaspoa Brazil, Canadian Comedy Award for Best Screenplay and currently being distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment), PatchTown,(Best Feature at the 2014 Canadian Film Festival and distributed by Kino Lorber) and Acting Up (a Marble Media production). You can follow Chris on Instagram @bondochrisbond FRANK CIPOLLA (Co-Composer, Music Supervision) Frank Cipolla grew up in a small Canadian town, where the overall lack of things to do left him plenty of time to learn how to play many musical instruments. Though he is very proud that his music has been featured off Broadway, at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Cannes Short Film Festival, he is most honoured to have performed at the music mecca CBGB’s in NYC. He currently lives with his wife Erin in Toronto, Canada.
MELISSA MORRIS (Co-Composer) Melissa Morris is an actor, singer, writer, composer, playwright, musical director, and teacher. She has written seven plays/musicals; Love Stories, The Fred Astaire Story, Comedy of Errors and The Three Musketeers with Rona Waddington, Alice in Wonderland with Dr. Craig Walker, Maid for a Musket with Lucia Frangione, Asylum by the Lake with Dana Fradkin, and of course, Evil Dead-The Musical. Melissa has been the Resident Musical Director/Composer at St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival for 8 seasons. As a performer, she has worked with theatre companies such as Chemainus Theatre, Upper Canada Playhouse, Orillia Opera House, Theatre Collingwood, The Rose Theatre, Port Hope Festival, Toronto Chamber Opera, Shakespeare in the Square, Sunshine and Company Festival, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Vaughan City Playhouse, Acorn Theatre, Possible Arts, Metaphysical Theatre, St Lawrence Shakespeare Festival and Theatre Kingston. Melissa is on the Musical Theatre Faculty at Queen’s University and has taught music and theatre in both Jordan and Oman. ROB DALEMAN (Additional Music) Rob Daleman started as a stage actor in his early career, but is now a composer and independent songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. In addition to his own work, Rob has composed music for independent stage productions, films, games and software applications. As a business executive with an MBA from the Schulich school of business, Rob is sought after as a music consultant who can blend corporate messaging into song. His work is featured in a number of corporate commercials, private events and podcasts. AMY-SUSIE BRADFORD (Production Manager) Amy-Susie is once again happy to be part of the Starvox Entertainment Team and to be touring with Evil Dead. Amy-Susie started her theatre career in Connecticut and continued to study production management at the NJ Performing Arts Center. She worked full-time in New Jersey for eight years before moving with her family to Canada. She currently resides in Montreal while continuing to manage events and productions throughout North America. She can be found working with various companies including Geordie Productions, NJPAC, Starvox Entertainment, and Just for Laughs Montreal. Thanks to my family for their continued support as we follow this path less traveled. BECCA HAFNER (Company Manager) Becca Hafner has been involved with the performing arts/entertainment industry for 4 years, working with high end clients such as David Blaine, Derek and Julianne Hough, Alton Brown, and the Mythbusters. She has also worked on larger scale productions such as the 67th Emmy Awards, Dancing With The Stars, Desert Trip Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas), and the film “The Circle.” Becca is excited to be part of ‘The Evil Dead’ tour and working hard behind the scenes to help bring the audience a wonderful show experience.
CHLOE TEKAVCIC (Wardrobe) Chloe is thrilled to be traveling with Starvox Entertainment this fall! This will be the second time working for the company after Cannibal the Musical. Once graduating from York University’s Theatre Production and Design program, Chloe went on to work on such shows as: Cavalia’s Odysseo, Sleeping beauty, James and the Giant Peach, Seussical, The Wizard of OZ and Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang. Mr. Ross was a producer on the Canadian production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS and produces an annual tour of Evil Dead – The Musical to record-breaking sales in Canada and the United States. Since 2012, Starvox produces the touring west-end hit show Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience. Starvox is the producer of Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical and Faulty Towers Live! The Dining Experience in Toronto. In 2015, Starvox produced a national tour of a new adaptation of Sherlock Holmes starring David Arquette. WILLIAM FRANZBLAU (Producer) Mr. Franzblau created and produced the TONY Nominated Best Play SAY GOODNIGHT GRACIE, Produced David Mamet’s AMERICAN BUFFALO on Broadway, and the tour of LITTLE HOUSE on the PRAIRIE the Musical starring Melissa Gilbert. He served as the Executive Producer for Broadway’s WONDERLAND. He produced the off-Broadway shows, SISTAS the Musical) JEWTOPIA, EVIL DEAD the Musical, THE MALE INTELLECT: an oxymoron, and ILUMINATE (America’s Got Talent Finalist). JEFFREY LATIMER (Producer) Jeffrey Latimer has produced and managed live theatre, musical productions, artists, events and sponsorships in North America for the past 25 years. His company, JLE, is based in Toronto and currently has various Film and TV projects in production as well as producing many events. Highlights from his theatre shows include Forever Plaid, Stomp, Forever Tango, Forever Swing (with Michael Bublé), Cookin At The Cookery (with the legendary Bea Arthur), An Evening with George Burns, Defending the Caveman, and many more. Jeffrey worked with Second City and Just for Laughs in business development. Jeffrey manages artists including the International Juno Award winning, Platinum selling recording artists, The Tenors, as well as Juno-award winning Soul Sensation Sean Jones.
