She is a first violinist in the Orchestra, and also plays in our Select Strings and Cabaret Strings (Jazz) ensembles. Her professionalism has elevated the level of the section, in their musicality and their work ethic. Jocelyn has also found much success in her vocal endeavors, participating in Morris Area Choir, North Jersey Region Choir, All-State Choir, and ACDA All-Eastern Choir. Not only is Joci a fine musician, but she is a very humble and sweet student. She encourages her friends in music, and is the type of student you can rely on in any situation. Joci is one of our top music students as a sophomore in high school and we are all excited to see the new heights she will achieve as she continues on her musical journey! Olivia Guarinello Grade 8, Randolph Middle School, Randolph; Nominated by Hsiao-yu Lin Griggs Olivia is an 8th grade student at Randolph Middle School and has been playing the violin since 4th grade. Olivia continued to grow in her love of the violin as well as her musical craft when she became a student of renowned teacher, Norma Davis. In 7th grade she auditioned for the RMS Con Brio select orchestra and was accepted. In 8th grade, she began playing the viola as well as the violin. Olivia also auditioned for the North Jersey Jr. Regions and was invited to play for viola. Olivia is now a member of the Delbarton Abbey Orchestra where she plays the violin and continues with the Delbarton Young Abbey Orchestra where she plays the viola. Kimberly Love Grade 8, Brooklawn Middle School, Parsippany; Nominated by Joseph Stella Kimberly Love is a talented French horn player in the BMS 8th grade band, but she also takes lessons and plays viola outside of school. Whenever needed, Kimberly is available to lend her viola playing talents to the school district. This year, she volunteered to perform under my direction in the pit orchestra for Cinderella at Parsippany High School (as an 8th grader) and did a wonderful job blending in seamlessly with the high school students. She was also selected by audition to the Region I Intermediate Orchestra on viola. Kimberly is a joy to teach and a truly talented, well-rounded musician. Magdalena Raska Grade 12, Morristown High School, Morristown; Nominated by Norma Davis Magdalena is a senior violinist and has been a member of the Morristown High School Orchestra for the past four years.
