Rockin’ The 70s Atlanta Rhythm Section For more than 30 years, members of The Atlanta Rhythm Section have entertained audiences all over the world with their hits. The members of Atlanta Rhythm Section originally came together as a session band at Studio One, an Atlanta area studio recording artists like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Al Kooper, Dickey Betts and .38 Special. The band put out 15 albums and were paired with contemporaries Lynyrd Skynyrd as the successors to the Allman Brothers – carrying the mantle of “Southern Rock” in the late 70s. But performing songs that were more musically diverse and having hits that had a softer, pop flavor, they had a sound all their own. Influenced by music coming out of England and sharing the musical styling’s of groups likes The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, the members of ARS were accomplished musicians who constantly tried to evolve – think Steely Dan or Little Feat. With multiple gold and platinum albums to their credit, the band had top, “So Into You“, “Imaginary Lover”, ”Doraville“, “I’m Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight“, “Champagne Jam”, Angel”,”Do It Or Die” and “Spooky“. Firefall For founder Jock Bartley, Firefall is a 30 labor of love. Their layered harmonies backed by driving rhythms transcends many genres from rock to country to AC and brought the band platinum and gold success with such hits as “You Are The Woman”, “Strange Way” and “Just Remember I Love You”. Other major Firefall radio hits include “Cinderella”, “Goodbye I Love You”, “Livin’ Ain’t Livin” and “Mexico”. Extensive touring with Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, America and many others.
Orleans Orleans is best known as the 70s Pop/Rock band that brought you the iconic hits “Still the One”, “Dance With Me” and “Love Takes Time”. Now entering it’s 41st year of live performances, Orleans has produced a body of work spanning 16 albums and several DVDs. The band continues to be in great demand domestically and internationally for live shows, as they have been for four decades. In the summer of 2012, Orleans experienced a tragedy in the sudden passing of co- founder Larry Hoppen. While there is no replacing Larry, the decision was made to somehow continue to perform the remaining shows of the year’s calendar. Co- founder/brother Lance Hoppen, along with long-standing members Lane Hoppen, Fly Amero and Charlie Morgan were rejoined by co-founder John Hall (who had been on sabbatical as a US Congressman) in order to finish with dignity and integrity what had been started 40 years prior. With more than a dozen successful shows under their belt, the band finds that they are more than ready, willing and able to forge ahead into year 41. Al Stewart Glasgow native Al Stewart began his career playing guitar in Tony Blackburn’s band the Sabres, and moved from there to the London folk club scene. Year of the Cat (1976) spun off two Top 20 hits (the indelible title song and “On the Border”) en route to becoming a million-selling release itself. 1978’s Time Passages, repeated the success of its predecessor, selling a million copies and yielding the Top 10 title track and Top 30 single, “Song on the Radio”. “This venerable singer/songwriter is still doing what he does best, and clearly his best is as good as ever.” - Miami Herald
