Happy Holidays from MPAC!

This is a magical time of the year and we hope that your family will spend part of your holiday season at MPAC. We are thrilled to be presenting a great lineup of seasonal events, headlined by New Jersey Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Nutcracker, our second annual Theatre of Light and other terrific performances.

If this is the first time you are bringing your family back to MPAC, rest assured that we are doing everything within our control to make your visit safe, healthy and fun. You can learn more about our COVID protocols on our site, at mayoarts.org/ visitor-info

Tickets to MPAC events and MPAC gift certificates have long been favorite holiday presents. They are great ways to share your love of our venue with friends, family and coworkers all year long. You can purchase gift certificates at mayoarts.org, and they are valid for five years.

MPAC, a nonprofit organization, is the heart of arts and entertainment in the region. As we continue to recover from the COVID pandemic, we hope that you will support our mission by becoming a member, or by contributing to our end-of-year fundraising campaign. With your continued assistance, I am confident that MPAC will emerge from this pivotal time ready to serve our community in an even greater capacity.

Our Mission

Mayo Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey.

MPAC is now presenting performances at full capacity. The health and safety of our patrons, volunteers and staff is paramount to us, and we have made many updates to our facility and procedures. Our policies are based on current health and government guidelines at the time of the event, and are constantly evolving. Please refer to your preshow email before your event for the most up-to-date policies.

Sara Evans Blue Christmas Tour

Friday, December 10 at 8 PM

With five chart-topping singles (“No Place That Far,” “Suds In The Bucket, “A Real Fine Place To Start,” “Born to Fly,” and “A Little Bit Stronger”), multi-platinum entertainer Sara Evans is one of the mostplayed female artists on country radio in the last two decades. Max Weinberg’s Jukebox

For 45 years, Max Weinberg has held the drum chair behind Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Max Weinberg’s Jukebox comes armed with an unlimited repertoire of classic songs, engaging the audience in a truly interactive concert experience. Weinberg invites his fans to create the set list in real time choosing from a list of over 200 songs, and his crack four-piece group plays them on demand, from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce and The E Street Band's biggest hits.

Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández

Founded in 1952 by choreographer Amalia Hernández, Ballet Folklórico is Mexico’s most revered traditional dance company. Ballet Folklórico brings together the music, dance and costumes of Mexican folklore, from pre-Colombian civilizations through the modern era.

Paddington Gets in a Jam

Paddington is making his favorite marmalade jam but runs out of sugar, so he goes next door to borrow a cup from his neighbor, Mr. Curry. Mr. Curry, however, is in a panic because he is expecting a visitor; so Paddington volunteers to help him with his chores. Unfortunately for Paddington, his good intentions end up leading to chaos. Black Violin The Impossible Tour Spring 2022

Black Violin is composed of classically trained violist and violinist Wil Baptiste and Kev Marcus who combine their classical training and hip-hop influences to create a distinctive multigenre sound that is often described as “classical boom” to overcome stereotypes and encourage people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers. Their most recent release, Take the Stairs, was nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album Grammy.

A Bronx Tale A One Man Show starring Chazz Palminteri

In 1989, Chazz Palminteri (The Usual Suspects) wrote a one-man show about a killing he saw in the Bronx when he was nine years old. It became a hit and the most sought after property since Rocky This is the original one-man show he wrote and performed in 1989 that made him an in-demand character actor and served as the basis of the acclaimed movie and Broadway musical.
