It is a technique of photography that usually focuses on the shoulders and face of a person to depict personality at the time of taking the photo accurately. Portrait photography is more or less referred to as portraiture. Posing to take a perfect shot for portrait is a technic that needs to be mastered as one can take time to get that exact shot that makes a photographer make a name for him or herself. The typical orientation of such a photograph has the vertical sides longer than the horizontal sides. 5. Show a high level of dedication and devotion to the work Although all the other conditions may be just right, nothing worthwhile would come from a mediocre photographer. Mediocre, in the sense that he or she has not done their work with due diligence. They should be ready to put in the hours necessary to achieve the desired quality of portrait photography. It would help to not settle for less. He or she should be ready to take as many shots as possible to achieve that one specific photo. To get this one portrait would require a certain amount of dedication to their work. The model should also not get tired, but there should be suitable breaks in between shots to rejuvenate.
