May Chien

May is an international designer being trained in Asia, Europe and US. She has a great passion in seeking the relationship between human and nature. She believes that designing a work is designing a relationship. In her work, she develops connections. Montaging, layering, and shaping multiple elements into intuitive composi-tions are often seen in her experimental works. By incorporating conceptual experiences in emotions, nature, societies, and transcultures, she delivers the sense of empathy and resonance to the viewers. The majority of her works often associate with emotional perspectives, which comes from the awareness in ob-serving the historical and humanity aspect of life. This basically affects how she feels, how she thinks, how she designs, and who she is.
