ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN & MANUFACTURING FABRICATION SPECIALISTS

3D PRINTING AND FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR The emergence of additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies is introducing industrial skills deficits and opportunities for new teaching practices in a range of subjects and educational settings. In response, research investigating these practices is emerging across a wide range of education disciplines, but often without reference to .studies in other discipline been poinering the system education thro workshops and classes

UNIT INSTRACTOR AND FABRICATION COORDINATOR The Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, commonly referred to as the AA, is the oldest independent school of architecture in the UK and one of the most prestigious and competitive in the world. Its wide-ranging programme of exhibitions, lectures, symposia and publications have given it a central position in global dis.cussions and developments within contemporary architectural culture I have worked on the AA’s design-research program in focusing on Mars, where participants research the natural ecology of the Red Planet and speculate on the design of future interventions that couple cutting-edge technology with research into natural morphology and phenomena on Mars. Algorithmic and computational design methods .will unveil material, spatial to urban potential in design The ten-day program bring together a network of distinguished international faculty, experts and guests to offer design-research units all coming to the Jordanian local environment, specialist software tutorials and a series of lectures and talks

FOUNDER / DIRCTOR a Jordanian local association of architects, designers and researchers who examine prevalent innovations in the built and designed environment. Explored subjects are based on comprehensive understanding of building technologies and performances. The resulting body of work ranges from research papers, processes, publications, workshops, .and lectures to innovative adaptive concepts ONISM endeavors to push the boundaries of the typical research and development sphere. Issues which are overlooked within traditional research are delved into. Those in.clude the structural strength and properties of flora and fauna, the development of electronic sensors, and the production of environmental analysis software Through its collective operations, ONISM aims to foster and advance an influential movement which elevates the quality of the built environment and urban documentation. .As a result, the experience of junior designers, architects, and academics will correspondingly grow, both locally and regionally

Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city, sprawls inland from the Gulf of Guinea across Lagos Lagoon. Victoria Island, the financial center of the metropolis, is known for its beach resorts, boutiques and nightlife. To the north, Lagos Island is home to the National Museum Lagos, displaying cultural artifacts and craftworks. The resort has a mix between old and modern with all its facilities and designed places, which is expected to receive about ten thousand people annually.

MAZEN ALALI,HANAN KATAW, ADHAM SINAN, Seed explores and grows in cavities found in the rock formation on Mars. In the space that is both in the rocks and outside, the seed grows inspired by the formation of the mountains it inhabits. The spaces grow in relation to the formal characteristics of the cavity while optimising the spatial qualities, accessibility and circulation. A structure built from the material found in the rocks holds the connected spaces and blends with its surroundings.

Our project consisis of two formal languages of highly detailed surface articulation, for circulation as well as nested pockets as spaces for meditation and refliection. The code was applied to our study area to first generate its initial formal character and was then applied a: more specific scales in order to design areas with strong spatial quality for the space 28

The design of the main facades of a residential building in Riyadh city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within a specific budget and using the least possible intervention in the general construction,

42

The main building has been completed and because of the investor dissatisfaction with the overall shape has been added features to add a sense of excellence in the building Work is currently underway on the preparation of facades made of treated wood and anti-weather and high temperature relative in the region. Expected to be completed by the end of 2019

43

SAMA “ JORDAN “

The building is designed above the major climate and environmental challenges and difficulties in the Jordanian region so that the building aims to make sustainability an attractive principle for both the user and investor. As It will be used from the public and will be open to host lectures and shows and provide spaces for young people in an environment that encourages the conservation of energy and awareness of them mainly directly and indirectly. The most important advantage of construction lies in the use of three main surfaces instead of one and encourages the user to spend time in an atmosphere surrounded by nature to promote the idea of sustainability

DDOWN O W N TTO O EARTH E A R T H “ russia “ Pyramiden is rich. With its natural and man built features, its history and potential futures, its challenges and opportunities, Pyramiden is rich. Our conceptual approach stems from our interest to attract tourists and researchers to Pyramiden while maintaining it as a ghost city, at least from above the ground level. As the climate plays a positive role on preserving the physical condition of the buildings to approximately a hundred years to come, our experimental intervention didn’t include majorly visible addition or subtraction as we also want the different types of visitors and residents of the town to experience the town as it has been since 1998, a ghost town. While offering a collection of research labs, an observatory, an open air auditorium, different services, accommodation and a walk-through museum as well as more security and geothermal heating, all functions are built underneath the existing town. The town’s main reason of prospering was the coal mines and the users of our proposed intervention will be indulged in an underground coalmine’s atmosphere. Down to earth.

Earthships are predicated upon the idea that there are six human needs which can be addressed through environmentally sustainable building design

Earthship structures are intended to be “off-the-grid-ready homes, with minimal reliance on public utilities and fossil fuels. They are constructed to use available natural resources, especially energy from the sun and rain water.

conce p t work 0 1 In the world of graphics and architecture, a rendering is the term used for a two-dimensional drawing that an artist creates to illustrate what a structure will look like once it has been built. From this term came the word render, which means “to make visible” or “to draw.” With the advent of the digital age and the introduction of computer-aided design software like Photoshop, these terms have evolved to match the evolution of the tools available.

conce p t work 0 2 The Symbolism behind the Tower Human ambition to build overly high structures is well documented and has been a subject of many myths, the most famous of which is the myth about the Tower of Babylon. Even though we never happened to know much about the alleged functionality of this primeval Tower of Towers, one thing is certain: the construction of its structure had to become a monument of civilizational grandeur and challenge the divine order – unfortunately a punishable crime that resulted in splitting mankind into different peoples.

cellular com p le x ity “A D W

Cellular Complexity is an installation which exhibits the potential of cellular geometries at a spatial architectural scale. Cellular systems exist within the organization of biological systems in a multitude of scales from the nano to the micro and macro; they embody performative properties structurally, thermally and acoustically. This installation rethinks the scale at which these systems organically exist, towards an architectural scale which can be reorganized to a diverse range of applications and performative parameters. The installation capitalizes on the potential of computational algorithmic design methods and the ability to generate complex geometries which address specific contextual parameters. The design developed for the EVOLVE exhibition is inspired by these cellular systems. 66

They offer the potential of efficient gradient differentiation through porosity, within a unified space-packing geometrical system. The exhibit design consists of 264 cells varying in size, porosity and twist; they are algorithmically generated . And are organized along two opposing surfaces which transition in orientation through a smooth twist.

The Dead Sea region has been chosen as a source of inspiration so that the salt compositions in the area are artifacts of nature. Because salt was linked to food mainly, the idea was to create a dessert mold from the Dead Sea from its rock and salt formulations as a pioneering experience in the food industry.

The modeling was designed and modeled to be a key piece in the reception room of the main lounge in the expansion building of the Kempinski Hotel in Amman. A main formation of the molds on which the crystal panels will be placed as a main reference for the design and then made frames of transparent plastic material to maintain the required shape.
