Manteena Residential won National Residential Master Builder of the Year at the 2021 Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards held on Friday 29 April 2022 in Cairns. The Awards showcased the Nation’s best projects across the residential, commercial and civil construction sectors.
The award came from the outstanding work on the Forrest home delivered by Manteena Residential, The Dept. of Design and Architects Ring & Associates. The home also took out the title of House of the Year locally.
Danny Agnello, Director at Manteena Residential, says of the victory, “To be nominated is amazing, obviously you’d like to think you can win but to actually win is an amazing experience. Thanks to our team, the client, the architect (Architects Ring and Associates) and the designer (The Dept. of Design). Everyone comes together to bring these projects to life, it’s not one person, it’s a big team achievement.”

Did you know that there are financial incentives for employing an apprentice in the ACT? The Training Fund Authority aims to create a more skilled workforce by increasing training opportunities through a number of valuable incentives. Across the 2020/21 financial year, the TFA provided $1.6 million for ACT employers of apprentices.

The objective of providing incentives is to develop a more skilled workforce and to increase the employment and training opportunities for Australian Apprentices in the ACT. The ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund Authority is providing funding for employers who employ a 1st year Apprentice in the listed trades during 2022.* Financial Benefits for Employers • 1st Year Apprentice in approved ACT Contract of Training • Excludes existing workers • ASBA payments at 50% rate • Max per apprentice payable to employer 50% after 3 mths 50% after 12 mths
*Applicable to First year Apprentices commencing with a new employer in the Building and Construction sector from 1st January–31st December 2022 under an ACT Contract of Training.
