Dear Ladies, The MBA Ladies Annual Retreat will once again be held in Owatonna at Grace Baptist Church, 265 26th Street NE, on March 19-20. Registration will be on Friday from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9 a.m. All ladies who would like to sing in the choir should be at the church at 6 p.m. on Friday for choir practice. The evening session will begin at 6:30 p.m. A schedule for both days is enclosed. Mrs. Colene Price will be our keynote speaker. She and her husband, Terry, have been involved in college ministry for over 35 years. Colene teaches in the areas of Women’s and Children’s ministries as well as in the Speech Department at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin. She has spoken across the country and I’m sure you will be blessed as she shares what God has laid upon her heart. The workshops will be: 1. “Helping Your Friend by Being a Friend” by Suzanne Rogers from Willmar, Minnesota 2. “Helping Your Children Learn to Love Jesus” by Wendy Larson from Owatonna, Minnesota 3. “Helping Your Spouse in Everyday Life” by Karen Hime from Minneapolis, Minnesota 4. “Helping Your Church Through Ministry” by Judy Bergsner from Brainerd, Minnesota 5. “Helping Yourself Through Personal Bible Study” by Rebecca Straub from Plymouth, Minnesota The cost for the retreat this year will be $20 per person. Lunch on Saturday will be included. There will be a tote bag for the first 250 ladies who pre-register. An unstaffed nursery with a close circuit television showing the service in the auditorium will be available for mothers with babies who are under one year of age. There will be opportunities to browse the bookstore, make new friends, and catch up on what’s been happening with others you know from other churches. It is bound to be a time of spiritual refreshment. I have contacted several hotels in the area. They are willing to give a discounted price to the ladies attending the retreat.
