Even power and control are sophisticated. The 4.6 L bi-turbo V8 engine in the CL 550 4MATIC™ Coupe produces 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque resulting in performance of 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The bi-turbo V12 engine in the CL 600 Coupe – one of the world’s most powerful production car engines – produces 510 hp and a staggering 612 lb-ft of torque. From a standstill, 100 km/h is reached in a quick 4.6 seconds. Both these muscular powerhouses are balanced by transmissions of equal intelligence. The CL 550 4MATIC™ Coupe operates swiftly with the 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission as standard equipment making for smoother cruising, more responsive acceleration and even improved fuel efficiency. The CL 600 Coupe is fitted with a 5-speed automatic transmission with driver-adaptive technology that will analyze and learn driving patterns and adjusts its shift points accordingly. To elevate ride smoothness and comfort, the CL-Class features self-leveling AIRMATIC air suspension1 to help keep ride height constant at all times. For even more driving pleasure, the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) allows you to adjust suspension firmness at the touch of a button. From vehicle motion, stability, braking, to even lighting; sensors and programs work together to monitor the CL-Class and adjust as needed to provide ultimate protection against danger.1 In the urgent moments just after an accident, our built-in technology even helps aid rescue efforts. Following a collision, our intelligent system automatically carries out a range of safety measures: the engine shuts off and hazard signals and emergency interior lighting switch on, the side windows are partially lowered and the doors are unlocked.

PRE-SAFE® will automatically activate critical safety functions seconds prior to an accident to ensure maximum protection.

Anytime an airbag2 or Emergency Tensioning Device is activated, the vehicle engages the standard TeleAid System3, putting your vehicle in touch with the TeleAid Emergency Response Center, where trained specialists can assess the situation and alert emergency services. Mercedes-Benz understands that when it comes to safety, time is of the essence.

No system, regardless of how advanced, can overcome the laws of physics or correct careless driving. Please always wear your seat belt. The CL 63 AMG Coupe boasts the AMG 5.5 L bi-turbo V8 engine with 536 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. This engineering masterpiece produces more horsepower and torque over the out-going engine while reducing emissions and achieving approximately a 10% increase in fuel efficiency. Combined with the AMG
