30 WEST MONROE

Jeff Edeus is Chief Engineer at 30 West Monroe; he joined the team in February 2012. His focus has been on construction as Mike has done an outstanding job maintaining equipment and Brendan and Billy have handled tenant requests. If you happen to see Mike or Jeff in the building, feel free to introduce yourself! Jeff says the diversity of the tenants and the entire building staff makes the building a great place to work. The owner’s commitment to energy conservation also makes his job rewarding. Jeff was born and raised in Orland Park and currently resides in Mokena. He went to school at Southern Illinois University and started his career at 300 S. Riverside Plaza. He enjoys golf and whatever puts a smile on his son’s face! He loves cavatelli from Tufano’s, the Hawks, Sox, and Bears, and he once got a hole-in-one.

Mike Quinlan, Assistant Chief Engineer, joined the 30 West Monroe team in March. His responsibilities include assisting the chief engineer with overseeing construction projects and operating and maintaining building equipment and systems. Mike loves that 30 West Monroe is a historical building; it was the first high-rise building constructed after World War II. Most importantly, he enjoys working with all of the people from every department that make up such a great team. Mike is from Mokena and graduated from Triton College. He recently participated in a recreational volleyball league and also enjoys playing golf and spending quality time with his wife and three children. Mike and his wife are organizers of an annual fundraiser held every October to raise money for DUP15q Alliance. Their son, Gavin, is affected by Duplication 15q Syndrome, which is a rare chromosomal abnormality.

Stacia Albiston has joined 30 West Monroe as Property Administrator. Her day-to-day activities include working in the office of the building doing administrative tasks, working with tenants and any requests they have, and assisting Susan and the rest of the team. Stacia loves the architecture of the building and the team at 30 West Monroe. They have been so kind and helpful! She was born in Boise, Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Graphic Design. Before moving to Chicago, she was a high school art teacher. She loves playing tennis and riding bikes. Her favorite food includes pizza and she someday hopes to have a garden that supplies all of her pizza toppings!

We also see collaborative consumption* as the way of the future. Workspring provides the extra space you need, when you need it. It’s a flexible and economical solution for Inland Steel Building tenants. We offer memberships for individuals and teams and can host your meetings and events. Plus, as a tenant of the Inland Steel Building, you’ll enjoy special pricing and exclusive invitations to Workspring’s educational and networking events. How have some tenants and members used Workspring as an extension of their office? • To host meetings, conveniently in the same building, when meeting rooms are booked • Turning their conference room into a team space, and utilizing a meeting room at Workspring only when you need it • To hold interviews in a private, easy to access space • To make customer calls in a secure, private space when calling in an open plan environment would be too disruptive • To hold training sessions, at a highly hosted offsite location when focus really matters • To hold critical client meetings in a state of the art, impressive setting • To conduct depositions or sensitive legal strategy sessions, in a safe, secure and private space • To entertain clients or celebrate major team milestones

Specialty’s offers a relaxed dining environment that allows customers to remain connected to the digital world as they wish with free wi-fi and abundant power outlets. Customers also love the ease and convenience of online ordering at Specialtys.com – leaving them with ample time to enjoy the food and ambiance. “Since we opened in Chicago in 2003, Specialty’s has made a name for itself by incorporating modern technology to serve delicious, freshly-prepared food,” explains

explains Dawn Saxton, co-founder and Vice President of Product Development. “Technology has changed greatly in the last decade and our cafés are designed and equipped to accommodate today’s ‘on-the-go’ professionals.” As part of its commitment to leveraging technology to improve convenience, Specialty’s provides a wide range of ordering tools on its website, www.specialtys.com. Users may create and save their own list of menu “favorites,” order and purchase items online for pickup at the café, submit business catering orders, and even track which famous Specialty’s cookies are hot out of the oven with their “Cookie Radar.” The in-store iPads also allow customers of specialtys.com to access their stored favorites and earn Baker’s Dozen Rewards with in-store purchases. “We recognize that in today’s business world, very few people have time to take a full hour for lunch,” Ms. Saxton says. “Customers want faster, more efficient service. Our website and mobile app are designed to help us meet their needs.” One thing that has not changed in this era of rapid technological advances is Specialty’s commitment to serving a world-class menu: fresh baked breads, cookies and pastries; homemade sandwiches; soups and salads. “Serving our customers fresh, delicious food remains the foundation of our business,” Ms. Saxton says. “We are a very digital company, but we still have an onsite baker in every one of our cafés.”
