Careers Guidance

Our team of Careers Advisers are on hand to provide free information, advice and guidance to help you decide which course or pathway to take for your future career path. They can also provide you with guidance on the range of progression opportunities available to you after completing your Access Diploma. They will provide advice and support to help you apply for higher education when you finish your Access to HE Diploma, including help and guidance on your UCAS application and personal statement.

Student Services

Our Student Services team can provide you with a range of services to support you throughout your studies. This includes dedicated safeguarding and welfare officers and our counselling team, which is free and confidential for all students.

Additional learning support

We are determined to create a community that positively welcomes diversity, striving to ensure that we are open and inclusive for all students.

We aim to shape an actively inclusive culture, which drives and sustains greater equality for all.

Our team includes a specialist employability coach who can support you with CV writing, interview preparation and help you find a part-time job whilst studying towards your qualification.

Distance Learning

If you study on a distance learning programme you will have access to your own College network account which will enable you to access course information and announcements, course handbooks, week by week resources and assignment information. This can be accessed in College or at home. You can also subscribe for free to Office 365 on your own device! We have a large Learning Resource Centre in the main building which is set over two floors and houses over 23,000 physical books along with access to E-books. There are quiet work spaces and bookable computers and our team of experienced staff are on hand to help.

Course tutor support

Your course tutor has an open door policy and is there to support you throughout your programme. They can chat through any concerns, advise you on course work and help ensure you have the skills for academic writing, Harvard referencing, presentations and critical thinking.
