Once we have received your application, you will be invited to attend an Information and Skills Assessment. During this session you will receive information regarding the College’s Access provision, funding options and Higher Education advice. You will then be required to complete either a paper based or online maths and English assessment followed by a written statement giving reasons as to why you want to study your chosen pathway. Your results will be used to ensure that your skills and experience are at a suitable level for studying your chosen Access to HE Diploma. Following this, you will be invited to attend an informal interview session. At this session you will have an opportunity to learn more about the course you wish to study and meet tutors who will be able to answer any questions you may have. With these results, we will be able to recommend the right Access to HE Diploma which will help you to achieve your long term career goals. Once you are offered a place on an Access to HE Diploma, you will be re-invited back to the College in August to enrol on your programme. Here, we will give you a copy of your study timetable and student ID card. If you are not quite ready to study an Access to HE Diploma, we have a number of options available including Pre-Access to HE courses and Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English. Depending on when you apply, you may be able to successfully complete these prior to our Access to HE Diploma Enrolment dates.
